Up for auction is my 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 This car has had 3 owners, previous owner has owned it since 1977. Its been garage kept all of its life and it is EXTREMELY solid underneath NO RUST NO ROT , Solid Floor, Solid Frame Rails , Solid body Car has been sitting since 2008, Will need a tune up , Tires are slowly leaking (dry rot), Rear main seal looks wet as well This is an original numbers matching Formula 400 with 81K miles Serial 2U87T3N2= Pontiac U= Formula 87= 2 door coupeT= 400 CID 4bbl V8 Dual Exhaust3= 1973N= Norwood Plant Car was repainted the original color back in the mid 1980's and is a 10 footer at best There is paint chips, scratches all around Car needs a paint job Looks like its missing chrome trim on the rockers ,I do have the jack and the cowl plastic for behind the hood Interior is all there even the original GM 8 track player Drivers seat has a split in it, back seats look like they have never been sat in Just needs a cleaning Engine was overhauled in the mid 1980's Rods reground and tested for strength bored 30 over with high dome pistons new cam bearings, camshaft, roller timing chain, larger metering rods in carbedelbrock intake manifold, ram air 4 rocker arms to 1.65 lift , HEI ignition Car will start up, runs and drives. doesn't like to idle when engines cold (runs alittle rough) This car is a solid foundation for a restoration project with alittle TLC this would be an amazing car !
