This incredible time capsule comes from an exclusive collection and is a one owner bought new off the show room floor. The Riviera has very low miles from new and is still in very good original shape. The Riviera is finished in its factory Code 22 Riviera Silver Green paint, this is a special order color for Rivieras only for 1966, very rare and a stunning color, the Silver is really evident as you get close. The car has been repainted years ago, approximately 20 years ago and it still shows very nicely but does has some flaws particularly on the trunk in the right light you can see some crazing in the paint, easy fix if you choose. The passenger quarter near the back has some touch ups as well, you can see in the pictures, it does come with color code correct touch up paint. The 66 Riviera was a beautiful designed Sport Coupe, the hard top is beautifully accented by the long chrome strip from the front of the window all the way to the back. The front end of the 66 is stunning, hideaway headlights in the grill give it a aggressive and smooth appearance. the fastback style window flows beautifully into the rear of the car ending in the one off 66 taillight design, very cool. Designers started with the division's B-body platform and modified it to feature a sleek fastback roofline. Vent windows were eliminated from the doors to further bolster the hardtop image. Crisp fenders protruded forward, which, coupled with a new hood and bumper, accentuated Buick's W-shaped front end. Angular running lamps flanked the deeply recessed, horizontally ribbed grille, while headlamps--hidden under the hood lip--rotated down when activated, they work perfectly on this Riviera. The uber clean look was both aggressive and elegant, further emphasized by terrific restraint in the use of polished trim, a truely beautiful car The panels and seam fit is impressive and fits all very nicely in the doors, hood, and trunk. All the chrome is original including the bumpers and are great shape, solid and clean up nicely, there is a small split in the rear bumper in the middle which is very typical for the year and has been touched up. The trim and badging which is all in tact, very nice. The interior is all original and in excellent condition, no fading, no rips and the seats look as though they have hardly been used. Carpet is in great shape as is the dash and all its components, obvously very well preserved. Super roomy for a two door Sport Coupe and a real joy to drive, FM radio plays your favorite tunes and sounds suprisingly clear! Incredibly all the power options work; heater is excellent and is multi level including defrost, power seats, power locks, power windows, Factory AM FM radio works great with fully functional power antenna, incredible shape....all the dash lights work as well. Power Steering, Tilt steering, Power Brakes, dual exhaust, Riviera guage package, back up lamps, light package, clock...absolutely loaded! Mechanically the car is in tip top shape... starts everytime and runs and drives incredibly smooth. The engine and bay is in very good original condition, when we opened the hood we couldnt believe the condition! Every component in tact and in good order. The factory 425 4BBL V8 runs beautifully, sounds great, nice and quiet with great power. The Turbo 400 3 Speed Automatic Transmission shifts as it should, nice and smooth with no issue. The white wall tires are newer with lots of life and look perfect with the Factory Riviera 5 Spoke Rims, these rims are all original and in good shape showing some wear as expected. The trunk is all original with original jack and also comes with original Rivera 5 spoke rim and tire as spare.
