Early 1969 CB750 Sandcast with Left-side-horn location Built in May 1969. Engine number 1492 Frame number 1372 The high bidder at the end of the auction will be the new owner. There is no "buy it now" price. I will not end the auction early. Next year, 2019, is the 50 year anniversary of this motorcycle!! This bike is an early sandcast from the second month of production. The horn is mounted on the left side of the frame instead of the right. This is a unrestored sandcast 750. There are only a few CB750's left with this early production VIN The speedometer on the bike shows only 8,049 miles. This is the actual mileage of this motorcycle At some point in the past this motorcycle was repainted , The paint looks ok but I am sure the winning bidder will want to restore this bike to the original red that is was when new. This motorcycles has been in the same family since the early 70s and has been stored and off the road for the last 25 years. The bike shows all the little nicks, dings and scratches that you would expect for its age. Although it shows its age, it has obviously been well cared for and properly stored. I removed the carb bowl and found that they were spotless and did not need any cleaning. I drained the tank and flushed it with new gas and she started right up. At some point the seat hinges must have broke and the last owner welded pivot bolts directly to the frame. The unstamped original exhaust is in nice shape with only a little rust on the two right side pipes at the low point ( pictured) and a small dent in the lower right pipe. The left side is pretty much rust free. The motorcycles has the correct rear wheel with a 2 hole brake drum , one original acorn mirror.There are a couple cracks in the side cover but all tabs are in tact and no pieces missing. The front fender has been replaced and is not the correct one for this year model. The front brake caliper will need to be rebuilt and is not working at this time. Please look over the pictures closely and ask all question before bidding. I can store as long as needed until shipping arrangements are made. This motorcycle will be sold with a State of Vermont Transferable registration and a Bill of Sale. Vermont is a NON-TITLE State and does not require or issue titles for any motor vehicle 15 years and older. So this is all the paperwork that is needed to title in any state or export . On Oct-10-18 at 08:44:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I have inspected the cases around the front sprocket as requested by many and they are in perfect shape as they should be with only 8K miles . I think it may even have the original rear tire still on it if it came with a Bridgeston Super Speed . Also has the smooth oil filter cover and dull exhaust heat shields.
