Cosmetically this RT is in real nice condition considering the age. Paint is still in great shape, the body work is in nice shape, switches haven't faded and there is only the normal wear. We would say cosmetically it is well above average for the age. The rub is in the clutch; we have determined the clutch lever inside the clutch (BMW part number is 23 13 1 340 829) is not available and may not be for quite some time. There are two ways to look at this RT. It is worth saving since it is in nice shape and we have known it since February 2003. There has been solid and good work history over the years. It is unfortunate it has been bitten by a part that is back ordered with no ETA. The other way to look at this RT is it would be a fantastic donor bike for your RT with tired plastics or equipment. You could transfer the body work to your working RT and this one would be your spare parts bike. Due to the nature of the mechanical failure the bike will need to be taken away on a trailer or truck and we will not be able to issue a temporary plate or put a NH state inspection on this machine.
