Vehicle Detail
I've had some great muscle cars in 25 years: my first being a 66 GTO I brought back to life in the mid 90s. It had a 400 & 3 deuces, 4 sp & posi-traction, there was no question it was fast but when those 3 carbs opened you felt something was being brought to life under the hood! Another was a 71 Camaro RS/SS 396, 4 sp in bad ass black, it was fast as well but this perfectly balanced full built 340 heavy on the HP w/roller rockers, a tight 4 speed, sure grip rear & lightweight pony car body is without a doubt 2nd only to the GTO in speed but would quickly beat it in corners. It also stops much better with front disc brakes. Most classic cars need a little work all the time: this was built to be a daily driver & its reliable: starts when you need it & quickly, shifts properly with a solid 4 speed, stops with all new components, doesn't overheat or bog down in traffic, all gauges work including the gas & RPM! Its a super fun car built with the driver in mind. Its very powerful so timid drivers should stay away. Its comfortable with tight bucket seats, a working AM/FM radio & a LOUD speaker to be heard over the dual exhaust ;). She glides over bumps on proper 14" white letter tires & a tight suspension front & back. This is the ultimate pony muscle car: looks, performance & reasonably priced. You can purchase knowing if cared for it will retain its value & more than likely make a profit in the future! You can leave it as is & drive to your hearts content or tweak & improve on the weekend since it small enough to fit in any garage. I've done many things to improve her & enjoyed every minute but its time to find one that needs me more. Any lines on a 1970 Charger RT out there? Any condition or combo as long as it didn't come w/air. This is the real thing: a true muscle car with THE original motor to go along with a solid frame & body tempered with a very reasonable build quality: not overdone like a show car that shouldn't touch the road but proud of ownership quality: a car built to be used, appreciated & occasionally abused without consequence! Its hard to believe how perfectly this car was ordered back in Sept. '71. Check out the options this comes with including the extra horse 275HP engine & 4 speed trans: everything you need to be comfortable & everything needed to make it one beautiful ride. The only thing NOT still on this list is the AC but all the main parts are included (as shown in pic) & will be carefully packed in the trunk if you feel power isn't as important as being cool. All 4 windows work really well so you have that ;). I was told there is something special about the rear glass: smaller than normal for a formal look? The black vinyl top was done right: started with a clean, painted surface & has ZERO rust bubbles underneath. I have many more photos of the car including under it: simply ask for more. This car was originally from NC & has nothing to hide. One thing I really like is it rarely leaves but a few drops of oil or any fluid when parked for weeks & it starts up even after a month or more of winter storage... instantly.
