Not sure of history on car but we can assume it was a lifelong southwest car judging by how super clean the car is underneath with not a single rust bubble to be found and no accident history on the car. It is rare to find these SL's with this kind of low mileage because once you drive this car you won't want to get out. The car was repainted 8-10 years ago and has been garaged since. This SLC has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as a west coast car should be. Its is riding on gorgeous 16" Mercedes wheels wrapped in BF GOODRICH tires. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. Overall the exterior appearance of this car is a 9 out of 10. This interior is in really nice shape all around. The dash and door panels are in perfect condition with the exception of a light wear indentation on the top side of the driver's door panel. The 450SLC's upholstery was recently redone and it still looks like new! The seats are still ready for breaking in! Interior wood trim does not show any cracks or fading and is all present. The headliner is clean and has held up extremely well. Even the power moon roof still works! The carpets are all very nice and have been professionally cleaned. All dials and controls function as they should; power windows and wiper also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the period correct Blaupunkt Cassette still in place and sounding great! Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The V8 engine is surprisingly quick and responsive. Many Mercedes experts and mechanics stand behind the 4.5L as the best engine Mercedes ever made. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The suspension is very tight and feels solid even at autobahn speeds above 90mph. The car has been looked after and it really shows. This car truly drives like it only has half the miles the odometer shows. All in all, this is one of the cleanest and nicest SLC's that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. This Mercedes is a fantastic car for the price and includes every option offered in this car.
