I am selling my 1987 Porsche 944 Manual 5 Speed with 118k original miles. I had dreams of fully restoring the car and taking it to local shows but with 2 little kids and a job, just not enough time. The car has been garaged for as long as I have owned it. The car runs and drives but needs a little TLC. I have a clean Delaware title in my name. It has always been a local car, belonging to a local dealer for many years and was maintained by a local European Specialist Mechanic for much of its life. I recently installed a new battery, replaced the spark plugs and wires. I have taken the car on a few short drives. The car is a blast to drive and gets a lot of attention. The motor sounds good and all of the gears work. Clutch feels good. The car does have a power steering fluid leak. The leak is coming from the power steering hose. You can find a replacement hose online for about $100. The car always starts right up, but has a bit of a rough idle when cold. The engine does not die and It smoothes out with a light touch of the gas peddle. I am guessing either needs cap and rotor, which I have not yet replaced or maybe a vacuum leak. The car looks great from a distance. The body panels are straight, the paint has nice shine to it. There is general weal, some scratches, scrapes, parking lot dents. The valance under the front bumper is cracked. Please see pictures for details. The car appears to be rust free including the underside. The interior looks pretty good other than cracks in the dash & the passenger sun visor is missing. The original radio works. Power windows, headlights, turn signals, etc. The original owners manual, roof bag, Cargo Cover, spare tire and tools are included. (Tool kit is a little rusty). The car really just needs to be driven and a little TLC. Cost about $100 online Rough Idle when cold - think this may be cap & rotor or maybe vacuum leak Air Conditioning does not work Drivers door lock sometimes sticks (think it needs cleaning and lubrication) Tires are dry-rotted but hold air perfectly fine - need to eventually be replaced Power Mirror adjust is not working. Passenger mirror glass is very dark and needs to be replaced The dashboard has multiple cracks & the clock does not work - These are both common problems. Most people put a dash mat over the dash, cost about $50 online Front valance, under front bumper, has a crack and passenger fog lamp has a hairline crack. Fog lights both work I do not have a key for the factory alarm (the lock cylinder next to the drivers door lock cylinder) There are a couple scrapes in the paint on the sunroof, see picture Sunroof does not work - The motor runs, but the arms do not move. In researching this, there is a plastic gear that commonly goes bad, and can be purchased for $8 onlineI think this is a pretty complete. Please see the pictures and ask any questions.
