We recently purchased this Cougar from the ORIGINAL 90 year old local Idaho owner who bought it BRAND NEW in Santa Ana, California and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was her pride and joy !! I drove this car for the last several days as my daily driver and I assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a sweet driver in town and cruises down the freeway easily and smoothly. The motor also sports the ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL intake ducting and the ORIGINAL air cleaner housing, etc. Sounds GREAT too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "W" - "Select-Shift" three speed automatic transmission that also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL !! - Code "VR" - Medium Blue Cloth and Vinyl luxury Brougham interior is in NICE condition including a NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Cloth and Vinyl split front bench seat with dual folding center armrests and factory headrests, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Matching Medium Blue Vinyl and faux wood grain accented door panels, Good ORIGINAL Medium Blue carpets (there is a hole in the passenger rear footwell), VERY NICE ORIGINAL Mercury steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Vinyl headliner, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Vinyl sun visors, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Cloth and Vinyl rear bench seat and a VERY NICE ORIGINAL Medium Blue Vinyl dash pad with NO CRACKS !! All of the ORIGINAL exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition including VERY NICE ORIGINAL Badging, NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers and NICE ORIGINAL front grill and headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports the ORIGINAL gray liner, the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench and a full size whitewall spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - California - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle since NEW and it shows !!
