Vehicle Detail

2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4WD V8 Vortec 5300 - One Owner We bought this new as a family car and it has served us extreme Ely well. Great still in any type of weather so get it before the snow flies. We are only selling because our kids are now in college and we no longer need it. It's been serviced and maintained regularly and I have a big folder of all the records and original GM & McGuire Chevrolet dealer paperwork. It's being sold as-is, where-is with no implied warranty. I'm looking for offers so please don't be shy. Feel free to make an appointment to take it for a test drive/kick the tires. Please pay in cash at the time of pick-up. I won't let the license plates go with it so please keep that in mind and plan accordingly. If however you are within 25 miles of zip code 07848, I'll drive & drop off at your house after payment then remove the plates and take them with me. Clear title will be signed over accordingly, The pictures tell the whole story including the original GM spec sheet however I've listed the known faults, otherwise it runs/drives/operates as it should. I can send additional pictures as needed. Never in an accident. It's quite a machine/tank and yet gets 15-20 mpg. Keep in mind that it's almost 15 years old and has 249,000+ miles. It just passed inspection in April of this year and I still drive it occasionally to the hardware store, etc. and pull a 1500 lb. utility trailer with no issue. It drives smooth and straight like a car should. Tires are quite decent still with plenty of tread and a good spare. Since it's not driven often and it sits outside, I believe the rear brake drums have a little rust on them as they are noisy/grind sounding when braking. You decide. That being said the car brakes just fine.It starts and runs perfectly and the engine will still throw year head back when you put the pedal to the metal. Now, the known issues; transmission is slow/slips a little when going into high gear (it's been this way for 5+ years and even with pulling a 3500 lb. load from time to time and it has never failed so the transmission shop said not to touch it); the inside air blower is a little noisy when on high; the lower push-button dashboard controls on the steering wheel aren't working; the CD player has a few CD's stuck inside and they will play occasionally but it will not accept more or eject those CD's; uses a little oil and coolant but not much and it's been that way for the last 100,000 miles; has some progressing rust around the body near the wheel wells, especially the right rear. Good luck bidding, please do ask questions & make offers.
