Vehicle Detail
What you are looking at is an extremely nice original and well sorted 1979 CX500 Custom. Paint is in overall good condition with a few dings and chips that generally come with a 38 year old motorcycle. Chrome is in overall good condition as well.Carbs have been rebuilt with any necessary parts being Brand new stator. This is a known issue with these now that they are getting up there and is no easy task as you have to drop the engine to do it. Scratch that off the list because I did it.Valves adjusted Almost brand new Dunlop D404 tires on the front and backBrand new battery Oil changed Cam chain adjustedCoolant flushed and new impeller seal installedNewer mechanical seal on water pumpSlipstreamer windshield Hondaline adjustable backrest (storage pouch on back is starting the come apart a little with age)Sito replica replacement exhaust silencers Saddleman seat cover Front fender has a wrinkle in it from the original owner but that should not be hard to find a nice replacement. Since the mechanical seal on the water pump is new, it trickles out a few drops of coolant as it has not bedded in yet. This is typical for the first 100-200 miles after replacement. Tach is a little slow to react but I imagine that it will loosen up over time.Titled in my name with fresh tabs so it's ready to go! Here is a video of me cold starting it that I filmed just today:https://youtu.be/9WXLEIxmw4M Buy it and ride it home. Don't miss this chance to own your dream bike in high school. You couldn't afford it then but you can afford it now! Shipping to be arranged by the buyer or pick it up in person. I have used Uship and haulbikes.com with success.
