Vehicle Detail

This is a 1955 Studebaker President 2- door hard top . It was a Ca. car and was brought here 15 years ago as you see it .. Lee was in our Studebaker club and past last June. The car has been setting in his building for last 14 years . He bought the car and put 300 miles on it and had a 1948 Convertible he drove to. The 55 gave him some trouble starting so he took the 48 out . the 55 sat 14 years he tried to start it over the years but would not run. I got the car last mouth and checked it out .The points slipped and had no fire to them . I got that fixed to find out it had 7 bent push rod's. I had a set of good heads and replaced them with a new, oil, fuel pump changed it back to a 4 barel carberater. some one had changed to a 2-b carb. I had to rework the brakes .The car is running fine and drives good now. Some one restored the car some 15 years ago and did a dam good job they changed the motor and transmission .It has a 259 in it now from a 1963 or 64 with a full flow oil filter and a long tail shaft transmission. I didn't see any rust in the car top or bottom . It has two many lights on the front for me and a rear cont- kit on the rear. I didn't like it at first but it is growing on me .It has white and black leather interior that looks new but it is 15 years old just not used muth. From a 1 to 10 the car would be a 8 1/2 to me. all I did was wash it off from setting 14 years with a detail job it would show at any Studebaker show real good . I would drive the car any where it runs that good . 99 % rust free I had to leve a little room for things you cant see .The cont- kit was a add on made by a co. that made them for all cars in Ca not a home made job I may be able to help on delivery but you need to work it out before end of auction . Thanks for looking # 330/465/0217
