PLEASE: READ THE DESCRIPTION VIEW ALL 70 PHOTOS READ THE CAPTIONS ASK QUESTIONS The pictures tell most of the story, here is the rest: This is an ACCIDENT-FREE, SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE, ONE-OWNER TRADE-IN from our new car department. As it says in the listing heading, it's a "Shade Tree Mechanic's Special" because it needs a few things done. Also, as you might expect from something 10 years old with 134,764 miles, it has a few minor "bumps and bruises" plus some spots that are beginning to show some wear. Overall however it's a pretty nice truck! First and most important: The cooling tank on the bottom of the radiator rusted through (common on this model) so the coolant and transmission fluids got mixed. We replaced the radiator with a brand new one and flushed both cooling and transmission. I've driven it and it shifts just fine plus the temperature stayed right where it should be. The first thing we're going to suggest is that the new owner check the fluids regularly for contamination and then change coolant and transmission fluid at about 10,000 to 12,000 miles. Why? Because there's no way to guarantee getting 100% of the "wrong" fluids out with a flush and there's probably going to be some minor residual in both systems. Right away you'll want to replace the right headlight and left tail light so you don't get a ticket. You may also want to replace the radio light so you can see it at night. The timing belt is overdue for replacement. This is something you probably will want a professional to do.The bug guard on the hood is missing - replace it or take off the (stick-on) mounting posts. You'll find some paint damage we've highlighted as well - touch it up or leave it! That's about it! Tires, brakes and battery are all good and it drives beautifully.
