I say EXTREMELY RARE as they only produced 5,220 Cameo Pickups in 1955 which is the FIRST and they tell me the BEST year of Cameo pickup production !! Chuck Jordan, who later became the Vice President of Design for General Motors, designed the Cameo Pickup inspired by guided missile carriers he saw while stationed at Cape Canaveral. We have been asked to sell this GORGEOUS Cameo Pickup for the current retired Washington State owner who is a friend of ours. He has owned this Cameo pickup for the last 35+ years and as you can tell it was his pride and joy for sure !! He recently suffered a back injury which prevents him from enjoying this beauty so he decided to sell it to someone that can get as much enjoyment out of it as he has in the last 35+ years, LUCKY YOU !! If you have been thinking of restoring a truck, you know what it costs to do a restoration like this not to mention the hundreds of hours involved ! According to the owner this 327 motor came out of a 1964 Chevrolet Corvette !! The motor also sports an ORIGINAL STYLE 4 barrel intake manifold, Custom High Flow exhaust headers, ORIGINAL STYLE "Chevrolet" scripted valve covers, ORIGINAL STYLE Air cleaner housing and an ORIGINAL STYLE Carter 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke, Etc... !! Sounds GREAT too with the - "THROATY" - factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by the - SMOOTH - ORIGINAL- OPTIONAL - REBUILT - 4 speed - "Hydra-Matic" - automatic transmission that also functions very well. Chuck Jordan, who later became the Vice President of Design for General Motors, designed the Cameo Pickup inspired by guided missile carriers he saw while stationed at Cape Canaveral. We have been asked to sell this GORGEOUS Cameo Pickup for the current retired Washington State owner who is a friend of ours. He has owned this Cameo pickup for the last 35+ years and as you can tell it was his pride and joy for sure !! He recently suffered a back injury which prevents him from enjoying this beauty so he decided to sell it to someone that can get as much enjoyment out of it as he has in the last 35+ years, LUCKY YOU !!
