I say EXTREMELY RARE because only 3,782 - Code "SS22" - Chrysler Cordoba ( Factory Equipped Optional "T-Top") Special Coupes were produced in 1978 !! Also VERY HARD to find in the FACTORY TRIPLE BLACK color combination which is the BEST most DESIRABLE color combination and they tell me the one collectors are looking for !! The Chrysler Cordoba was a stunning body style in 1978 and still is some 37 years later. We just purchased this Chrysler Cordoba from the estate of the previous elderly Washington State owners estate who recently passed away and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! He bought it BRAND NEW at Bill Brown Chrysler in Spokane, Washington on April 13, 1978 as shown on the ORIGINAL Chrysler warranty information pamphlet. What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low !! This Cordoba still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - left inner fender mounted Chrysler data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted VIN plate - ORIGINAL - 1978 Chrysler owner's manual - ORIGINAL - Chrysler warranty information pamphlet and the - ORIGINAL - Chrysler sounds system booklet, all of which are shown in several pictures below. This BEAUTY has been a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western vehicle since new and boy does it show !! I drove this Cordoba for about a week as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It cruises smoothly and easily in town and also on the freeway at 75+ mph !! The original problematic - "Lean Burn" - Spark Control Computer has been disabled and converted to a Mopar Performance ECU controlled electronic ignition system with a vacuum advanced distributor. The motor also still retains the ORIGINAL intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL carburetor, Etc... . Sounds good too with the factory style exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT THIS YEAR - Code "DLX9" - "TorqueFlite" - three speed automatic transmission which also functions very well.
