Simply a Stunning Example of a very Correct and Original Lincoln Continental Mark 2. It comes with the complete ownership history and has always enjoyed its life in Sunny Dry California! We dare you to find as stunning and correct example anywhere!!! This Lincoln was originally sold to Signar Lindroth, who apparently bought two 56's.... one for himself and one for his wife. An article comes with the Lincoln documenting this. Lindroth who owned a lumber business and apartments in Sacremento sold the car in 1967 with under 20,000 miles on it, to Wood's Auto Sales in Woodland, California. It was then purchased on October 13, 1968 by Ed and Hazel Lacey for $2628.00 (see paperwork). The Lacey's were very active in the Lincoln Continental Owners Club and helped to author the Mark 2 Authenticity Manual for the LCOC. They put the White Vinyl top on the car soon after they purchased it in 1968 (see receipt) maintained and drove the car throughout the area to LCOC meets. The car was shown at a number of LCOC shows and Concour events in Northern California until the car was sold by the Lacey family in 2008 to a dealer in southern California. The current owner purchased the car from this dealer in December, 2008 and has over the past 7 years refurbished the car as needed to make it a more reliable and functional car. These receipts are all included. The Lincoln was factory equipped with Air Conditioning which was a very rare option and recently the pump was removed for servicing and is boxed and included with the car. Additionally with the car, are the invoices and articles refered to in this description and as well the original owners manual, technical manuals, parts manuals, and authenticity manual in the name of Ed and Helen Lacey published in 1995 noting Ed Lacey's contributions. The photos of this Lincoln speak for themselves. They were just taken in October, 2015. The body is laser straight and the paint, brightwork, grill, glass, hubcaps, chrome and emblems are all extremely presentable. The front bumper has a few minor blemishes and we would suggest that if it was rechromed you would have a stunning exterior. The Wide White tires are absolutely brand new. It has its original Town and Country Radio which gives us some indication that it works, but we couldn't tune in a station. The clock even works...which is remarkable and proves what a well maintained time piece this Lincoln really is. The Interior is simply stunning and is all in place and the brightwork still has a wonderful shine. The steering wheel is like new...not a crack. The rear passenger side window can be tempermental at times. The Engine Compartment is ...well we might say...like out of the Factory.....look at all the fine detail and correct finishes and decals. This was a labor of love and shows the car and maintenance and concern for originality that went into this car. The Chassis as well is clean, tidy and solid. You will rarely have a chance to purchase a California Documented Continental Mark 2 of this caliber. They are extremely rare and a body style that was far ahead of its time.
