2007 BMW R1200R Nicely Optioned Example - Z Technik Windscreen, Sargent Saddle, Heated Grips, Full Luggage & More Full BMW Dealer Service at Original Selling Dealer Included in Purchase Prior to Delivery Please Wait For All Pictures to Load! This terrific 2-owner South Carolina 2007 BMW R1200R has resided near Augusta and Aiken since it was delivered new from Touring Sport in Greenville in August of 2007. Its original owner was a French engineer who prior to going home sold the bike to one of his employees. As remarked above, the bike is very nicely optioned and accessorized with full luggage, heated grips and windshield as well as a ventilated leather Sargent gel saddle with the BMW stripes and white piping. The luggage will hold two helmets or a week's travelling gear and more! Lots of room in there! And of course, since it's a BMW, you can travel with the bags on ... Or take them all off in under a minute! BMW's Telelever front and Paralever rear suspension remains ultra modern today, the rear monoshock is adjustable in seconds as well, so you can, for instance, change between solo and two-up with luggage without breaking out the tools. The Sargent saddle is extra comfy for long rides! I just gave the bike a cleaning and light detailing and it barely shows any wear at all - anywhere! Command central, the essence of simplicity! The INFO button controls the on-board computer functions on the LCD screen. \ Low and High Heated Grips on this side along with the start/run and turnsignal cancel over here. One reason for it needing a trip to the dealer is that they recently put a new fuel level strip in the tank and it has gone bad. These are perpetually warranteed by BMW so it could be done elsewhere, but it is at a service interval and has two unaddressed recalls as well, so it's going up to Greenville on the back of the truck where everything will be fresh prior to your acquisition. If you live closer to Greenville, SC than you do to me here in Augusta, you could conceivably pick it up from them once we've done the funds transfer and paperwork by mail, otherwise, I'll bring it back here. The mileage on the odometer is as of today and may go up slightly due to servicing. I have brought the bike up to Greenville in my truck so it won't go up due to the service. A shot of the VIN below the steering head. The front wheel is shod in a good Metzler Z6 with about 50-60% wear. The rear has a near new Pirelli Angel with under 1k miles. The original tool pouch lives under the seat, the Sargent seat uses the original BMW pan and it goes in a slot. Original purchase order, original shipping printout (data sheet) from BMW, original books, pouch, plastic key duplicate are all here. In the interests of full disclosure, this bike was dropped at low speed about 1.5 years ago. It immediately went up to Touring Sport (BMW dealer) in Greenville and they replaced the bar end, brake lever, cam cover (which has a new scuff in it from the prior owner's garage wall) and various other parts that were damaged when a texting driver pulled over on him as they came up to a light. The work and parts cost plenty and is absolutely undetectable, it didn't get into any of the paintwork, which is all original, nor was there any drivetrain damage. The bike rides straight et.c, I've now put nearly 100 miles on it without issue. Most importantly, he was unhurt! If you come to Augusta in person to pick up this BMW, I'll show you to a few of the historic sites such as the chimney of the original Confederate Powder Works which is just down the street from my shop, then I'll point you in the direction of the Tail of the Dragon or someplace else fun! If there's a photo you don't see above, try this image folder, there are some more, mostly duplicates, at this location. payment/shipping Payment is expected within seven days of auction close/Buy it Now unless alternate arrangements are made with me in advance. Accepted forms of payment include cash on pickup, cashier's/teller's check cleared in my bank account, Bank of America Instant Transfer or Wire Transfer. There will be no exceptions to this unless cleared with me in advance of your bid. On receipt of payment, I will send you the clear open title and any paperwork you may require. If you'd like to buy this through our collector automobile dealership, you may for an additional fee, but I assume you'd just like to do a private transaction. I buy good BMWs where and when I see them and this bike was not well-marketed and was in need of knowledgeable attention. I'm a lifelong BMW motorcycle fan and if I could keep them all, I would... but I prefer to get them into good hands. Shipping or pickup in person from me (in Augusta, GA) or from Touring Sport (in Greenville, SC) will be at the conclusion of its service, which should be done by end of listing or on receipt of payment. If they are closer to you and you want to pick it up from them, you'll need to have title in your name prior to then, so payment will need to have come to me and title sent to you. If you need it held for a little while until you can come here to Augusta, it can sit in my office indefinitely. Let me know if you have any questions about this or anything else, I'm happy to help.
