You can now own a VERY RARE Classic car that is getting hard to find, especially in this kind of BEAUTIFUL condition !! I say VERY RARE because there were only 4,500 Thunderbird Special landau Hardtops built in 1965 !! The Thunderbird Special Landau was introduced in the spring of 1965 and differed from the regular Landau due to its unique combination of interior and exterior colors, as well as differences in trim. All Special Landau models were equipped with a special Parchment-colored vinyl roof and a matching interior. Special touches included Ember-Glo accents on the interior instrument panel, bucket seat backs and carpeting. The roof rear exterior quarter moldings had a nameplate mounted on them with a gold-colored Thunderbird emblem and "Special Landau" engraved on it.The interior simulated woodgrain trim was of "burled walnut" which was a different pattern that was not used on the standard Landau models and Special Landau nameplates were mounted on the front door trim panels which reminded occupants they were in something special !! A few of these cars were delivered from the factory with the Wimbledon White paint. Emberglo was an exclusive color to this model in 1965.We just purchased this T-Bird from the previous Washington State owner who drove it occasionally and stored it on the showroom floor in his dealership for the last 18+ years and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! This Thunderbird Special Laundau still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted Thunderbird data plate and it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction sticker, both of which are shown in several pictures below. This BEAUTY is a NICE - DRY - Washington State - Idaho high mountain desert - Western vehicle and it shows !! I drove this Thunderbird for about a week as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you it runs and drives EXCELLENT !! It cruises smoothly and easily in town and also on the freeway at 75+ mph !! The motor also still retains the ORIGINAL four barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL air cleaner housing, ORIGINAL "Thunderbird" scripted windshield wash reservoir and the ORIGINAL FoMoCo 4 barrel carburetor, Etc... . It is amazing how much power this car has, UNBELIEVABLE !! Sounds GREAT too with the factory style true dual exhaust system. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "4" - "Dual Range" - three speed automatic transmission which also functions well. Take a look at this GORGEOUS - VERY RARE !! - PAMPERED SURVIVOR - 1965 Ford Thunderbird Special Landau Two Door Hardtop, WOW !! You can now own a VERY RARE Classic car that is getting hard to find, especially in this kind of BEAUTIFUL condition !! I say VERY RARE because there were only 4,500 Thunderbird Special landau Hardtops built in 1965 !! The Thunderbird Special Landau was introduced in the spring of 1965 and differed from the regular Landau due to its unique combination of interior and exterior colors, as well as differences in trim. All Special Landau models were equipped with a special Parchment-colored vinyl roof and a matching interior. Special touches included Ember-Glo accents on the interior instrument panel, bucket seat backs and carpeting. The roof rear exterior quarter moldings had a nameplate mounted on them with a gold-colored Thunderbird emblem and "Special Landau" engraved on it.The interior simulated woodgrain trim was of "burled walnut" which was a different pattern that was not used on the standard Landau models and Special Landau nameplates were mounted on the front door trim panels which reminded occupants they were in something special !! A few of these cars were delivered from the factory with the Wimbledon White paint. Emberglo was an exclusive color to this model in 1965. We just purchased this T-Bird from the previous Washington State owner who drove it occasionally and stored it on the showroom floor in his dealership for the last 18+ years and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! This Thunderbird Special Laundau still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted Thunderbird data plate and it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - trunk lid mounted jacking instruction sticker, both of which are shown in several pictures below.
