Vehicle Detail

1960 Mercedes Benz O319B Panorama Bus -Rare Panorama Bus Project--California Blue Plate--Rare MB Tow Hitch--Pile of removed Original Trim Included--Original Transmission and Dually Rear Axle--California Car since the late 70's--Clean California Title for Export--Scroll below for 40 large pictures- My last bus project that I have finally accepted I will never have a chance to finish. I have just sold my other 2 o319 Bus projects. Thinning out the bus herd. This O319B bus came out of California a few years back. The gentleman I had purchased it from had bought it from a Porsche enthusiast who had owned it since the late 70's. The bus currently does not have a motor in it. It retains its original transmission and dually rear axle. I have a clean California title for this bus so it can be exported. International buyers are welcome, but I ask that they respect the payment and shipping guidelines I have in the auction. The glass is all present except for one of the upper panorama pieces which is missing. The rest is excellent besides a few small nicks in the windshield. The Porsche enthusiast had dreams of restoring it and had removed all the glass and crated it till be bought seals. I have it all individually wrapped in packing blankets. All the metal frames appear to be present for the larger side windows. The seats are not original but are actually quite nice. There are a few small tears and patched areas on the seat cushions. They are not mounted firmly and will need to be bolted into place. I have some spare seat cushions that are a similar brown if the potential buyer would like more to go with the set. All of the interior door panels and side panels have been removed, but there is a set of 2-3 nice white panel sheets to make interior panels out of. The roof panels are all present but the frontmost panel has been removed and has a tear in it. The complete rear portion of the cabin floor is originally a thick marine-like plywood from the factory. That has since disintegrated and there are various pieces of plywood currently in its place. That will need to be redone properly. The body has been gone through before and has had some bodywork done at one point. You can see evidence of this on the front and rear of the bus. Despite having a few areas of dents and damage, there are no areas of major rust concern besides the front fenders, where these typically rust. The front fenders will need some serious rust repair on the lower lip. The underside is also completely solid without any rust through the chassis. The drivers door and lower drivers side skirt have been dented in. The trim appears to be mostly complete, which is quite rare when it comes to these buses. Over the years most of it gets damaged and removed. There may be a few small pieces missing. See the last few photos for the interior and exterior trim bits. The instrument cluster wiring has been cut and that will need to be all reconnected. Most of the small interior bits are present including: curtain hangars/sliders, sun visors, ashtrays, clothing hooks etc. Despite being a large project, these buses command large money once together and in nice condition. All of the glass gaskets and seals are available from Germany. List of issues I have noted:Small nicks in the windshieldSome of the trim pieces are probably missingMissing motor/radiatorInstrument cluster/heater controls all needs re-wiringFront bumper is not originalSeats are not originalGlass gaskets will need replacing1 missing piece of glassWood floor needs replacingNeeds bodywork and paint The car is located at a property not accessible by large transport trucks. If you win the auction, please note that you will need to send a smaller flat bed tow truck in order to access the property. Once off the property and out of the neighborhood it can be transported onto a larger transport trailer. Deposit due within 24 hours. The full payment is due 3 days after the auction. Deposit can be done through Paypal, full balance is through bank wire transfer ONLY. Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees. Deposit is not refundable. Only bid if you intend to pay. Please only bid if you are serious and have the funds. Don't miss out on the opportunity to bid. Please pay attention to the auction end times based on your time zone. Please ask any questions PRIOR to bidding. Scroll down to see approximately 40 Pictures of the Car, or you can email me for a link to an online album of photos. Feel free to email me with any specific questions that are not answered in the auction. You may also email me for any specific pictures you may need.
