Vintage 1964 Volkswagen BEETLE. Original BLACK PLATE California car. Chassis Number: 6004100. Engine Number: 8241775. Paint Code: L360. Matching Engine/Chassis numbers and paint code. This is a wonderful turn key daily driver finished in the original color for SEE BLAU (Sea Blue). The chassis and undercarriage is extremely dry and very solid. The body and chassis are both matching and completely RUST FREE. Jack points are perfect. Pan is perfect. Battery tray is perfect. The paint shines nicely although it has it's share of bumps and scrapes from life on the road. The interior is very nice for a daily driver. The seats have been recovered at some point in the past and the carpet has been replaced. The 1200CC engine was recently rebuilt and pulls very strong. The car has recently been tuned and has no mechanical issues whatsoever. It starts right up even when cold and idles properly. The brakes are solid and do not pull. The transmission has been rebuilt with freeway gears and this beetle cruises smoothly at 75mph. The entirety of the electrical system is in perfect working order including all interior and exterior lights. The original AM radio is intact, although it is not functioning. Overall this car is extremely dry and very solid, especially for a 50 year old car. She has been well maintained throughout it's life and it shows. Recent maintenance includes new 165/80R15 tires, new battery, and new ignition parts (plugs, points condenser, cap, rotor etc.) Overall this is a great daily driver that can been enjoyed as is. California registration paid in Febrauary. Clear title.
