Vehicle Detail

We are offering a 1996 black GEO Tracker LSI 4 wheel drive 3 door soft top removable. This undoubtly is THE best car we have ever owned. It starts first time every time. We have had very few maintenance issues. It is reliable transportation. I am selling due to death of my husband who drove the car the majority of the time. I have no use for multiple cars so my loss is your gain. It recently had all new brakes and roters. The front and rear differential fluids changed as well as the oil. New oil and air filters and brand new wiper blades. The tires have plenty of tread. The battery is newer . The interior is in good shape with no holes or rips. The passenger side seat is broken and will not sit up despite that the seats are nice and have multiple color flecs in the fabric The back seats fold down for a lot of storage and there is a rear entry door to access that area. The interior would be near perfect except at one time there was a paint spill inside the back area so there is some residue left over from that. I can guarantee the mileage is below 115000 the speedometer broke at 104109 and the car has been driven very little since that occurred within the last year and half The radio works fine it has a cassette and CD player i have not tried. Besides the speedometer the temp gauge does not work either. The tachometer functions fine as does the gas gauge. This car gets incredible gas mileage 23 city 26 highway The heat and the AC work fine.. I have the original manual The check engine light is on I was told it is the catalytic converter that needs replaced although it seems to run just fine. There is also a ABS light on was told that was a sensor again no big deal The outside of the car does have a couple of minor issues there is some body damage on the left side of the car mostly all cosmetic and does not affect driveability. The front fender is bent and there is a dent on the rear fender. There is some rust present on that side as well The damage was low impact people backing into vehicle etcThis cool vehicle is sought after by a lot of different people as it fits so many needs. This car has lots of life left in it. I would not hesitate to hit the road in this awesome vehicle or it makes a great tow car too although it has never been towedCar is located in Franklin Ohio between Dayton and Cincinnati. Buyer is responsible to pick up or arrange shipping.Due to the age of the vehicle I am selling it as is no warranty Because it is such a great vehicle there is a small reserve on itPlease message me with any questions I will try to answer as best of my knowledge. The Tracker was different from most other light SUVs on the market in that it is based on a rugged light-truck chassis and certified as a Light truck. Although it appeared to be a comfortable passenger SUV, it was bolstered by a sturdy off-road 4-wheel-drive system with a conventional light truck engine and transmission coupled to a hi-lo, 2-4 transfer case. The Tracker had a strong front suspension with a rugged recirculating ball steering box. The conventional front differential was rigidly mounted ahead of the engine, with U-jointed drive-shafts connecting the coil-spring front hubs to the differential case. The rear axle was a conventional light truck unit on coil springs. As a result of the truck-like underpinnings, the Tracker had a fairly truck-like ride, but the benefit was its notable durability in harsh conditions. 1,590 cc 1.6 liters in-line 4 front longitudinal engine with 75 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, 9.5 compression ratio, light alloy block, light alloy head, overhead cam and four valves per cylinderUnleaded fuelFuel consumption: EPA urban (mpg): 23 and country/highway (mpg): 26Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg): 26 and EPA city (mpg): 23Single-point injection electronic fuel system14.5 gallon fuel tankPower: 69 kW , 95 HP @ 5,600 rpm; 98 ft lb @ 4,000 rpm On Feb-04-15 at 09:26:45 PST, seller added the following information: The fuel tank is about 11 gallons capacity not 14.5 as listed above sorry for the mistake . Also to address the many questions I have received I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle it has been iin Ohio all its life. All the rust appears superficial there is no rust through that I can see. Keep those questions coming and happy bidding on this great vehicleOn Feb-08-15 at 08:55:15 PST, seller added the following information: I will try to address the many questions here The temp gauge was never an issue as this car has never had the slightest temp issue. Just had it serviced oil and filter changed overall inspection differential fluids changed front end aligned etc and was given no indication of a problem with the coolant system or any other system. All I was advised is the catalytic converter and the exhaust system and the emergency brake needed addressed. I just drove the car to Tennessee a month ago ALONE and it ran the 5 hours straight with no problems. Car is sitting in my driveway I see no leaks of any kind. There is no smoke out the exhaust pipe or anywhere else. Oil was always professionally changed regularly on this car every 3000 miles or so for as long as I have owned the car approx 10 years.I didnt repair the speedometer as it happened right about the time my husband got sick so it didnt seem to be a priority. I believe I remember the mechanic said it was a cable he just disconnected until I had time or inclination to fix. As I am only 1 driver and it is a standard no one in my family can drive it I can guarantee there have been less than 10000 miles on the car since his death a year and half ago The frame is fine and not rusted out again it all appears as surface.. In the pics I have tried to show u wheel wells that are NOT rusted. I believe the car was undercoated the only rust is where the paint has been compromised. I am not a car expert so I rely on a local mechanicAgain gang its a 1996 all in all pretty good shape with low miles I would say.90% of the body issues are on the drivers side of the car the other side is near perfect. All that is wrong can easily be fixed bottom line the car runs and is reliable. It has a clean car fax its a 2 owner. Adult driven. All that being said it seems you all want a guarantee its perfect all I can guarantee is what I have experienced with it in these last 10 years.I cant say if its a good car for your kid depends on the kid I guess. Like I said at the start it is undoubtly the best car I have ever owned in my life. I have disclosed what I know to be wrong I wouldnt hesitate to drive it anywhere. I hate to sell it but do not need 3 vehicles I know I will miss it esp when it snows and this summer when I can lay the top openI hope this got everyones questions also no I will not end auction early.
