You are bidding on a real (not a firebird) T/A 1981 Pontiac Trans Am. It is factory T Tops, 4 factory speed, power windows, 4 wheel disk brakes, factory sway bars, and factory posi rear.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am listing this car for a friend of mine. He has had the car for a number of years and with kids rarely gets to drive it. It was garaged when stored. I will be handling the questions/sale to the best of my ability. I looked the car over and it appears this was a factory “H” in the vin so this car was one of a few 4 speed trans am that came through with a Chevrolet V8 engine. I looked at the color and it was 19U and I believe the car was originally a black/black 4 speed car. I looked at the engine and it is not the original 5.0L and is a Chevy 350 4 bolt with stamp suffix that indicates it is a 4 bolt engine. It also has the large internal harmonic balancer indicting a steel crank. The factory 4 speed aluminum super T 10 transmission trans shifts well and the clutch is good. It is missing the ac compressor and other lines ect as shown. Overall it is state inspected, starts and runs smooth. It is not perfect or restored but a overall solid car. It would need some work here and there to be perfect. It is priced accordingly. I do not see any floor, trunk, or under body rust.
