Vehicle Detail

2003 VW Passat W8 For Sale I am moving overseas and have to part with my W8. The name says it all. From 2003-2006 VW manufactured a Passat intending to keep up with competing luxury sport cars manufacturers. The result was the Passat W8, a V8-powered 4-door sedan boasting over 278 hp with AWD. I am the second owner to this beast and with only 38k miles it one of the rare finds for those looking for a sleeper or collectors car. If you are looking for a grocery getter with the power to outrun most 4-door sedans on the road, this car will do it. This W8 is completely stock minus having the windows tinted (30% all around). It comes in stock W8 4-motion AWD trim with power everything, automatic, bi-xenon headlights, Monsoon AM/FM/CD player, moonroof, and 17" wheels. The car still has the factory michelins on it with tread left (approx 70-80%). As a two-owner car (elderly woman purchased it new in 2003) it has been stored inside the majority of its life. It has been in California for the last 11 years until I brought it to North Carolina where it is still stored inside. DISCLOSURE: I have listed two discrepancies, due to wear and tear, on the vehicle above. I also just got a fuel line repaired (part of an NHTSA 2006 recall), at a VW dealer with the receipt of proof for the work ($1300). For a 11 year old vehicle it is in excellent condition. If you are new to W8, do your research first. While they are excellent and unique vehicles they can be expensive to repair because of their rarity. For instance a standard oil change not this car will cost twice as much since it sips close to 10 quarts of oil for the V8. Other issues can be read about in W8 Passat forums. Owners have mixed reviews on the vehicles but the consensus is generally great for owning one and the enjoyment of how powerful this sedan is. Treat them and maintain them, like any vehicle, and they'll last forever. The vehicle is currently in Jacksonville, NC. The vehicle is for sale locally and on Autotrader (same price) and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If you are a local buyer I invite you to come look at the vehicle for yourself. Out of state buyers I will work with you on a shipping company for quick door-to-door service, once payment is received. Don't let this deal slip away, these vehicle are seldom found with such low miles! If you have any questions, ask prior to bidding. The vehicle was bought brand new from a VW dealer and maintained at that same dealer until I bought it. Since owning it, it has only seen VW service providers for general maintenance (oil changes, etc).
