Vehicle Detail

1974 914 Fuel Injected 1.8L w/ Appearance Group. Very original car re-painted once in the special order original color of L96D Silver metallic. Rare appearance group includes 5 Alloy Fuchs, center console, rear 'porsche' reflector, and LE valance.  The car has zero rust and there is no evidence of rust repair anywhere on the chassis. The panels are extremely straight and the panel fit is perfect. All doors and trunk lids open and close properly. The exterior paint and trim show very well and looks great. There are minor imperfections to be expected from a vintage car, however, this car is extremely clean overall. The chrome shines nicely and the Alloy wheels are very clean. The floors are completely original and in very nice condition. This is an opportunity to own a completely original 914 with no accident history and no stories.  Everything about this car is correct and original to the car.   The engine and transmission are in the correct date range and are believed to be numbers matching. The engine has recently been tuned and the car is running great. The spark plugs, plug wires, and ignition parts have all been recently replaced and she is currently running with electronic ignition. The 5 speed transmission is smooth and the shifting is easy and does not grind in any gears. The fuel injection is smooth and the engine idles properly.  All fluids have been replaced including engine, brakes, and transmission.  The entirety of the electrical system has been gone through and is completely functional. All bulbs, lamps, and bulb holders have been replaced as necessary.  The hi/low turn indicator switch and the windshield wiper switch have been replaced with NOS original parts and are functioning perfectly. All gages work properly including all interior lights. The heat works very well in addition to the blower/defroster. The brakes have recently been bled and the stopping power is good. All 5 tires are brand new 205R15 and the car handles very well. The interior is completely original and untouched. The driver’s seat shows some signs of wear and there are a few cracks on the dash, but overall the interior is very clean. The carpet is original and in surprisingly nice condition. The glass is completely original and in very nice condition.  Even the original windshield decal is intact. Overall this is a great looking California survivor. 914's in this condition are become much more difficult to find. It has been maintained properly over the years and it shows. I have been commuting in its since I bought it and it has served me very well. There are no known mechanical issues with this car, however, it is sold as is due to it’s age. Please ask any questions you may have.
