We just purchased this Thunderbird from the previous older Washington State owner who bought it from the original owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video was his pride and joy for sure!! The first or original owner bought the car September 27, 1966 at Metke Ford Motor in Bellevue, Washington state is now deceased and owned the car until 2009, 32 years !! The second owner who also lives in Washington state bought this car from the estate of the first owner in 2009 and has put less than 3,000 miles on it in the last five years. What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! 1966 was the LAST and BEST year for the 4th generation Thunderbirds and they tell me it's the year to have !! This Thunderbird still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door mounted Thunderbird data plate - FACTORY ORIGINAL - 1966 Thunderbird owner's manual - FACTORY ORIGINAL - assembly line build sheet and it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - selling new car dealers window sticker, all of which are shown in several pictures below. This BEAUTY is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car it's whole life and it shows !! In my opinion you're not going to find much nicer ORIGINAL FLOORS than the ones that are on this BEAUTY !! I drove this Thunderbird for about a week as my everyday driver to and from the office and running errands as needed and I can assure you it runs and drives EXCELLENT !! It cruises smoothly and easily in town and also on the freeway at 75+ mph !! If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look this BEAUTY over and drive this car for yourself, you won't be disappointed !! THIS IS A QAULITY CAR FOR SURE THAT IS READY TO ENJOY !! This Thunderbird has what appears to be the ORIGINAL - STRONG - "GROUND POUNDING" - Code "Z" - (315 HP FROM THE FACTORY !!) - 390 CID V8 motor in it that is running very well indeed. The motor also still retains the ORIGINAL four barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL exhaust manifolds, ORIGINAL valve covers, ORIGINAL air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL 4 barrel carburetor, etc... . It is amazing how much power this car has, UNBELIEVABLE !! Sounds GREAT too with the factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips !! The engine is backed by a SMOOTH - Code "4" - three speed - "Dual Range" - automatic transmission which also functions very well. The - Code "W" - Wimbledon White exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with really little to no wear showing other than several chips and imperfections and is still bright and shiny and looks GREAT as you can clearly see in the video above and 100 additional pictures below !! This Car is a great runner and a real nice looker. It has great looks and GREAT V8 power as well ! There are not many of these left on the roads for sure! These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line all seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. This Thunderbird is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right ! It is in very good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a good example of a sought after and hard to find collector car which is not seen at every stop light for sure. The first or original owner bought the car September 27, 1966 at Metke Ford Motor in Bellevue, Washington state is now deceased and owned the car until 2009, 32 years !! The second owner who also lives in Washington state bought this car from the estate of the first owner in 2009 and has put less than 3,000 miles on it in the last five years. What a value it is at the reserve price which is set very low ! 1966 was the LAST and BEST year for the 4th generation Thunderbirds and they tell me it's the year to have !!
