Vehicle Detail

This is a fun, great driving car in an uncommon color scheme for this model. Originally a southern car, which explains the lack of rust, even the underside looks good. I bought this car in 2012 and drove it as my summer car in 2012 and 2013. I put a fair amount of mechanical repairs into it (I have receipts for some of the work done) and I will go through what I did, what works and what doesn't.I have put over $2,500.00 in repairs in the car. I put a new set of tires on it, they are in great shape. Oil changes every 3,000 miles, full synthetic oil. All new brakes (pads rotors and sensors). New serpentine belt. New tie rod end. New plug wires, air filter, etc., etc. and all maintenance items done. Last year had the antifreeze flushed, etc. New battery 3 weeks ago.Runs, handles and drives great. The 300CE has a more powerful engine than the regular 300 series.Transmission shifts greatAll power windows workAll power locks work (doors and trunk) workPower seats workAll gauges workOriginal analog clock works and keeps good timeWiper (It has the classic Mercedes single wiper) works fine and I put a top end Bosch wiper blade on it last year.Rear defroster worksHeat/Climate control system worksRear power head rests workAll lights/signals, including trunk light and glove compartment light workThe radio is a replacement from the 1990's and it works, but it's nothing to get excited about and was on my list of things to upgrade. The previous owner saved the original radio, it's in the trunk. I was told the original radio was fine, they had got the new radio so they could have cassette and a cd changer, which is in the trunk, I never tried to use it.NO OIL LEAKS- Where it has sat in my garage over the winter, there has never been a single spot on the concrete under it.Some issues:Windshield washer fluid (leaks from the bottom of the filler bottle, I think it needs a new hose, the pump is fine)Air conditioning: It quit blowing cold last year, I had it recharged and found out the compressor was bad. I bought a new compressor and will include it with the car (not a cheap part) but it was late in the year so I didn't bother having it put on.Sunroof- I don't know if it works or not. When I got the car, the fuse for the sunroof was missing. My mechanic said that if the mechanism hadn't been lubricated and created too much stress when it works, that it would blow fuses. I just never wanted to get into a possible project with it so I never put a fuse in and tried it.Probably some other small things I forgot about. This car had about 160,000 miles on it when I got it. It now has about 173,000 miles on it. It is not a new car, nor is it in show condition, but I have already fixed most of the things that would go wrong with a car of this age and mileage when you buy it. Cosmetically, of course there are things that can be found after 24 years. There is a small dent on the driver's side front fender that I couldn't get to photograph, you can't see it easily unless the light is reflecting right. I would have driven it again this summer, but work has not really allowed me to drive a fun car and next year I will be out of state for most of the summer, so I don't see any reason to let it sit in the garage. You are welcome to come look at it and drive it or ask any questions, just send me a message. The car is located in the Warren, Michigan area, about 10 minutes from I-75 and about 10 minutes from I-696.
