This is an ultra rare 1955 BMW Coupe Chassis Frame and Alloy Body only. There are NO mechanical parts to go with this project. The chassis is original and pretty solid. It has been cut in several locations for unknown reason, but still very repairable. There is no major rust on the chassis and floors. The complete original alloy body shell was taken off the chassis in several parts. The condition of the alluminum is very good, with most edges clean and usable.The body is complete.Doors, hood and truck lid are exceptionally good, I would dare say in 'as new' condition.There are many additional unique and rare parts that come with it, grills - side and center, complete cast alloy dash board (less gauges), side windows with chrome frames and other chrome trim and dash parts - see photos.Also included are the very scarce electrical window mechanism, together with the nice chrome switches. My intensions were to find a donor saloon V8 501 or 502 and bring this rare and beautiful Bertone designed Coupe back to life, or even as a super cool Barchetta. Whatever you will turn this into, back to original 503 Coupe, or an open V8 Special Barchetta, it will be a worthwhile and rewarding project. I do not have any paperwork for this project, the only numbers I could find were on the body panels '173' all matching. And a set of numbers, which I couldn't really read, on the front LH chassis rail.
