The car was first purchased by a young man and he had it for 2 months and he got drafted. He would not be around to care for it and returned it to them. I can only guess about the mileage since the speedometer was often broken (we were told that was a weakness of those car) and our mechanic would have a send for a new one if he didn’t have one on hand, so some time passed and I used the optometer. I am guessing at least 75,000 miles plus what it shows. We always had it worked on by a person who worked primarily on Triumphs (he collected them himself) and he was located in Pleasant Hill. We kept it taken care of since I did commute in it daily. He has retired, but the name of the shop was something like “Bull Demolition” and he did the refurbishing as well. It was painted next door to him and the original color was put on it – they had the number of the original paint. At one point we had was some metal fatigue on the some of the wheels and that was repaired by rewelding. That was many years ago and we were told it was stronger than the original. It has never been in an accident."
