This 2002 Dark Blue Prius Hybrid is in great shape except that it needs to have the inverter assembly replaced. We replaced the original inverter with a refurbished one about a year ago but still have the original which can be included at no charge with this sale. Both front wheel bearings were replaced July 23, 2013 by Uebelhor Toyota in Jasper, Indiana at 175,656 miles. Until the inverter failure on October 15th we drove this car daily and it always ran great. Summer time MPG was consistent at around 52 MPG. Our Indiana winters with warm ups decreased the MPG to 49. This little jewel has always been a joy to drive with AM, FM, Cassette with 6 Disk CD player. This car has 182,467 miles but thanks to Toyota brand's history of durability and dependability, you would never know it. No rust and the paint has the usual reflective Toyota shine which will have the gawkers wondering the actual age of this vehicle. The body is in very good condition over all considering the age and mileage. The ding on the right rear bumper is the only noticeable damage. The engine is strong and works flawlessly The transmission shifts fine and the whisper of the engine is impressive. Tires and interior are good as well.The gas savings on this vehicle will spoil you rotten. At 50 MPG you can drive for almost 500 miles before you fill the tank. My Dad joked that we got such good mileage that we had to stop every once in awhile just to drain out the excess gas. WE PURCHASED A NEW OPTIMA BATTERY WITH 575 CA, 450 CCA, 38 AH, AND 66 RC FOR THIS VEHICLE HOPING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM BUT NO SUCH LUCK. WE INSTALLED IT BUT WHEN IT DIDN'T PROVIDE THE FIX, WE REMOVED IT WHEN WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO OUR RESIDENCE. I WILL BE LISTING THE $180 BATTERY AT A DISCOUNT SEPARATELY. On Nov-19-13 at 07:41:18 PST, seller added the following information: 11/19/2013 = After the car quit on us, I hoped that the 12V battery was the problem so we ordered and installed the $180 battery in hopes of avoiding the $92.37 computer scan completed at Uebelhor Toyota in Jasper, Indiana. This is the first time we replaced this battery which appears to have been the original. We had hoped to sell the battery separate but that is negotiable. Tire tread depths are as follows: Driver side front 3/16" / rear 1/8". Passenger side front 1/8" / rear 1/8".
