This week Canyon State Classics brings to market a very cool 1964 Cadillac coupe in great condition inside and out. This car has traveled only 105,000 miles and always lived in California, as evidenced by its original California black plates. The car was fully gone through in 2008 with a fully rebuilt drivetrain; fuel tank dropped and restored, new radiator, brake system overhauled and fresh tires. This car is as nice and reliable as the day it rolled off the line. The car has also been lowered 2" which gives it that nice custom look, while still retaining that smooth Cadillac ride quality. The body on the car is straight as an arrow and the Cotillion White paint has been buffed to a nice shine. The paint job is an older driver quality repaint and does have a fair amount of blemishes when looked at very closely. I would call the car a good 5 footer (flaws become noticeable at about 5 feet)but is very presentable and can be driven anywhere and will still receive a lot of compliments and lookers. The underside of the car is all original and super clean with no rust or replaced pans or sheet metal. All glass is ORIGINAL and crack and chip free The rubber seals are all brand new. The chrome and trim is all original and in great shape since it has been protected by the dry, warm California climate. The classic fins are really at their best in '64 and the car looks like its ready to take flight! The interior is the highlight of this Cadillac. The interior is 100% redone, and looks fantastic. The cloth and vinyl seats and door panels are in very good condition and look awesome in the two tone checker cloth combination. The seats do not have a single tare or ware spot. The foam is also still very soft, unlike some other original interiors. The door panels are all in very nice condition and the cloth inserts are in great shape and are not dried out or de-laminating at all. The dash is in great shape and the original paint, chrome and stainless trim still retain a brilliant shine, and the dash surface is perfect as well. The headliner and visors are brand new. Turn signals, lights, gauges, and all other switches are working correctly. The interior is complimented by very nice black Cadillac rubber floor mats. The trunk is also in very nice redone condition. There are a few stains, but no rips or other damage. All tools are present and in nice original condition. The full size spare and cover is also in great shape. All original mats and cardboard panels are present. The underside of the trunk lid is nice and has the insulation as well as the jacking instructions. Mechanically, this Cadillac runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It really does not feel like a 50yr old car. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The 390 V8 is very strong and supplies the car with ample power and the complete drive train was overhauled. The carb idles well and was just recently rebuilt. The cooling system is great and the car runs cool and idles well. The brakes have been gone through and a new master cylinder was installed. A brand new exhaust system was also just installed. Another nice thing about this Deville is that a high dollar complete engine compartment restoration was just completed with everything from the block down to the generator was cleaned and repainted to like new condition. A full tune up was also done at that time with new hoses, belts, plugs, wires, rotor, and cap installed as well as new valve cover gaskets.
