1967 Porsche 911S Soft-Window Targa Coupe with 100% factory-original floors. (Should have a warning label: May incite jealousy.) Garaged California car with original undercarriage metal and numbers-matching components: engine, transmission, carburetors, wheels, doors, hood and decklid - all original. Original front crossmember. Rare dealer-installed outside temperature gauge. Low original kilometers; rare original color combination; restored to factory COA specifications. This rare low-production 911 was stored in a garage and not driven for over 30 years. It was protected from the elements, and all the original components were preserved as if in a time capsule. This was the perfect "garage find" early Porsche 911S for restoration, and that work is just now completed: The engine was removed and the entire body was dismantled and taken to metal and hand dollied. The factory undercoating was in excellent condition so we opted to leave it intact, and it was carefully cleaned and prepped. The entire body was coated with epoxy primer and hand blocked prior to painting, then wet sanded and polished to a mirror finish. All body rubbers and seals were replaced upon reassembly. Engine is still the original factory build, and retains its original red shroud, original carburetors and air cleaner, runs and sounds superb. Clutch is brand new, original transmission shifts perfectly. The interior is redone to factory specifications, new soft-window targa top freshly installed. The wheels are factory original 1967 911S 4.5 inch fuchs (with no paint, thanks to early 911s registry member input). Too many details to list. This 911S never saw rust anywhere. It retains all its original components, and these factors together put this 911S Soft-Window Targa in a category by itself. Few of these cars were built, and 95% of short-wheelbase cars have rusted or replaced front crossmembers. Few other 1967 911s engines built at the factory still exist. This may be the only 1967 911s Soft-Window Targa in existence that retains both its original front crossmember and original factory-built engine. Thanks for looking!
