"Survivor" 1951 Lincoln Sports Sedan. One owner since new. Original plastic on the seats, factory interior in beautiful condition, 96,759 original miles. Purchased new by a San Francisco Police Officer in 1951: He lived in San Rafael, CA, and he ordered this Lincoln direct from the factory with a spotlight. He flew to Detroit to pick it up personally and drove it home. He quit the SFPD in the early 60's because "The criminals had more rights than the victims." He then built a series of businesses and became quite wealthy. He stopped driving it in 1972, but he started it every few months for 4 decades to keep the engine healthy. It runs beautifully. We have not driven the car any distance, but the transmission shifts well and the brakes seem fine. The tires are aged and need replacing. There is no rust anywhere, this Lincoln is as solid as they come. The car was repainted once in the late 1960's, but there is no indications of any accident ever.
