Vehicle Detail
I am selling at no Reserve, 1936 Ford Slantback, V8 3 speed, this car sold new in northern South Dakota, and that family owned it for over 60 years, it was acquired a little over 9 years ago by a gentleman in Sioux Falls SD, it was repainted around 20 years ago in original Cordoba Tan, the car is very solid with no rust issues, and the paint is very nice and shiny with no particular issues, the interior is totally original excluding the headliner and door panels, seats are original, except for the added in seat belts, which were put in for safety, as you can see in pictures, their is a blanket over front seat, which i removed, it is frayed on both ends and has some little holes in it, Carpet is not original. seats could be recovered and carpet replaced very easily with little cost, or personally, I enjoy driving it the way it is. It's an original car. The engine was overhauled 7 years ago, and the car runs and drives great, and it very fun and gets a lot of compliments, its got very good wide white tires, i just had it serviced and cleaned up within the last month, also the chrome bumpers and such are good and very nice, glass is good and clear, top rubber is in good condition as well. Overall, this is a pretty nice car that you could very easily get in and drive and have fun, its just a good car that has a lot of really cool 30's look. If you have any questions, message me, and i will try and answer your question(s). i will help with shipping coordination, and i will keep in my heated storage for a couple months if you need to. On Mar-18-13 at 16:40:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Just as a note: my uncle just brought to my attention that when they went through the engine 3000 miles ago, they updated the block from a 1936 engine to a 1937 engine along with 36 new manifolds to raise the Horsepower to 80hp, I am sure some of you guys are familiar with that engine, just a lot more zip to it, along with the better reliability. It also has a new battery, new brakes, and also a big plus, it was converted from knee action shocks to modern shocks, like I said before, this thing is a blast to drive.
