Vehicle Detail
This car has been in my family since it rolled off the lot, when my great-grandfather bought it, and I love it to death. The problem is that I can't keep up the maintenance like I used to when I was a bachelor. I have been in possession of this wonderful machine for about half my life now, but I hate to see the old thing go to waste. Thousands of dollars were dumped into refurbishing and "hotrodding" it while I was in the Army and didn't have to spend my money on anything but fun. Now I have different priorities. My car has been gathering dust for a few years, but with a little love it will burn rubber and turn heads again. The upgrades are many, and this is what I can remember:Mickey Thompson Wheelsrear air-bag shocksdisk brakes in the frontthe front end was re-done with a Mustang 2 kit (I think...)the seats were refurbished over a decade ago along with the headliner (which still looks fantastic)the engine is a rebuilt 350 ci bored out to 355forged pistonsaggressive camHolley Demon Jr carbsome kind of electronic ignition replaced the points and condenserthe transmission was replaced in 2004H&M shifter. This car is NOT currently running. I assumed it was the battery, but after replacing the battery (fall 2011) the car is still not running. I have not investigated further to figure out why not. The body is solid, but there is some rust, and the grill, bumper, and right fender were damaged a few years ago. Some jerk hit it in a parking lot, and I never got my hands on them. Also the door panels, dashboard, and door seals are deteriorated, but water does not enter the car during rains. There is no radio, no air conditioner, and the original cardboard glove box rotted away before I can remember. It is old, but worth the effort to fix up. If you want pictures of anything specific, please ask. Car is sold AS IS. I don't know why it isn't running and unless I blatantly misrepresented the car, there will be no refunds. The skull license plate does not come with the car as my 4 year old has dibs on it. On Jan-21-13 at 20:01:07 PST, seller added the following information: I have added pictures of an example of the seal deterioration, the damage on the passenger door, and the damage to the front passenger headlight. The fender is cracked through - it's fiberglass - so it hangs loose on the bottom behind the wheel well.
