Vehicle Detail

A 2011 Triumph Speed Triple with ABS - Diablo Red It's used but is has only 879 miles on it! No Reserve. $8300 starting price 14 months of factory warranty comes with it (which is transferable) This motorcycle has ABS anti lock brakes. Man you will learn to love thatlike I have. You don't need ABS until it gets slippery out butthen you REALLY need it. This Speed Triple has not been touched or modified. It's near to new specifications as can be. The new motorcycle initial dealer service has been completed so no service is required. It's ready to go. A ton of torque. It pulls like a tractor at any RPM. Big pistons and lots of displacement. It's in the super naked sports class so it's designed to be driven aggressively. So that's just what you can do. The handle bars are positioned so you can get a good grip on it and hold on. And you better hold on too if you aren't used to this kind of bike. It's as they say - fun! The styling is very aggressive. All business. Not a "chick bike" that's for sure. ...unless you are a really tough chick I guess. Effort has been spent designing the engine and mechanicals to look their part. I took a nice photo of the engine for you. The exhaust (thank goodness!) is all stainless steel front to back. You don't have to deal with corrosion or paint failure like in the old days. And a little advice if you already own one of these. When the pipes get discolored or scratched you can bring them back to new condition with a Scotch Bright pad. I do that on mine. It's a little time consuming but it's worth it. Practice in a discrete area the first time until you get good at it. The Seat: The seat is really comfortable. I was surprised. Not like some of my other bikes. I don't know why other manufacturers can't figure that out. I'm talking to you Ducati! The sound: It has a big engine low pitch exhaust note that you will love. You can also hearengine mechanicals doing their thing. I like that sound. Cosmetic condition: Most of it looks new. I looked it over closely for scratches and I found none. There are tiny scratches from cleaning but those will wax out. There are no boot scuffs on the mufflers. There are fine scratches at the pegs wherethe boots touched. There is some soil along the bottom andin some of the nooks and crannies. But mostly it has sat indoors. You can detail it out and people won't be able to tell it's used except by the tires. - Paul R Background info from Triumph: The boss of the naked sportsbike class just got a whole lot better. With an all-new chassis Triumph’s most iconic model has moved to a whole new level. More nimble than before, the Speed Triple corners and stops like you will not believe. What’s more, it’s powered by one of the all-time great powerplants and the revered 1050cc triple packs more torque than its predecessor. The legend continues. Speed Triple. Real world performance for riders who know. The definitive streetfighter. The benchmark. The best. In a word. Legend. Triumph has taken all that’s good about the Speed Triple and created a new model. A new chapter in the legacy. All-new chassis is the sharpest tool in the box. All-new optional ABS from Nissin for the greatest stopping power. And that 1050cc triple. Oh yes, the engine. And the look? Short. Stubby. Aggressive. Twin headlights. Single sided swingarm. Alloy bars. Pure Speed Triple. Improved. All-new chassis and riding position inspires total confidence with light and precise handling that is perfectly balanced for an incredibly planted and stable ride. Triumph’s trademark twin headlights, single-sided swingarm and high-level exhaust have all been restyled for a more aggressive and contemporary look, as well as improved performance, while the soulful 1050cc triple has been refined and uprated with more torque for an even more engaging experience. The Speed Triple sports the kind of specification you would expect from a top-of-the-range naked sportster. Track derived specification includes four-piston Brembo brakes for eye-popping stopping power, fat alloy handlebars, fully-adjustable 43mm upside down forks for maximum control and a comprehensive instrumentation that includes lap timer and programmable gear shift light. The Speed Triple also comes with optional anti-lock brakes for the first time and is available with a host of genuine accessories to personalize the look, performance and practicality of this exciting machine. Here's a review from TopSpeed (thank you TopSpeed): Triumph’s most iconic model, the Speed Triple, delivers a new level of handling and composure to the super naked class, something that isn’t all that surprising, especially since we’re dealing with a Triumph. With the sharpest and most aggressive look yet from a Speed Triple - and more power from the legendary 1050cc triple - the latest Speed Triple builds on a legacy that has seen over 70,000 Speed Triples sold since the model was first introduced in the market back in 1994. At only 471 lbs. fully fueled, the latest Speed Triple is over six lbs. lighter than the previous model. The front and rear wheels are each two lbs. lighter, while the narrower frame and improved packaging allows for increased ground clearance, making the machine feel incredibly light and nimble. Adding to the superb handling and performance characteristics of the bike are new 43mm forks that offer excellent control and plushness and are fully adjustable for preload, rebound, and compression damping on both legs. Brembo radial caliper brakes grip 320mm rotors, with the option of Triumph’s anti-lock braking system, are also available to the rider. As far as the design of the bike goes, the aggressive body panels and heavily sculpted seat accentuate the Speed Triple’s street fighting stance and complement the twin headlights. Color-coded radiator cowls are a new feature and sport stylish Speed Triple decals. Three color options are available - Crystal White, Phantom Black and Diablo Red - with color-coded flyscreen, seat cowl, and belly pan as genuine Triumph accessories.
