This is a 69 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia hardtop. Everything works great (except the clock) and is a total turnkey car. This car had sat in the original owner's garage since about 1982. It was rescued about a year ago and completely refreshed with all new brakes, interior work, and tune up. The mileage of 60,000+ is believed to be original. The original engine runs great and had just recently had a valve adjustment and timing set. It is a 4 speed manual transmission and shifts perfectly. It has new Khumo tires with probably less than 400 miles on them. The brakes work great with disks in the front and drum brakes in the rear. The interior is very nice with the dash being redone (see picture), and no tears in the seats. It has a modern stereo system with speakers in the back that sound great. The original bumpers still look nice and have accessory fog lights and reverse lights. There was a partial repair of the drivers side floor pan and along the rocker with a thick piece of steel and is very solid. This is not a show car but is a good driver. The paint has some cracking and a few scratches from age. It was re-sprayed blue from the original beige about 20-30 years ago. It looks good from a distance. There are two small rust spots on the paint; one on the front fender and one under the driver's door. This car can simply be driven with no problems as is or a fresh coat of paint would take it to the next level. It is being sold as-is.
