This is a 71 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia hardtop. It is orange and the original color was orange also (was resprayed, not original paint). It has new floor pans installed and is very solid. The engine runs absolutely mint and had just had a valve adjustment, timing set, and an oil change. It is a 4 speed manual transmission and shifts perfectly. The brakes work well with disks in the front and drum brakes in the rear. The interior is very neat except for a few tears in the driver's seat (see picture). This is not a show car but is a good driver. The paint has cracking and pitting all over from a previous respray. It looks good from a distance but the evidence is clear when up close. This car can simply be driven with no problems as is or a fresh coat of paint would take it to the next level. There is some evidence of filler on the nose and rockers. This car has had amateur bodywork in the past. Again, it is a solid, great running car but the paint is not that pretty when up close. It is being sold as-is.
