Vehicle Detail
What's better than a sporty red convertible? Offered is this immaculate 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible in Bright Red with Scarlet interior. The car has been adult-owned and driven its entire life, and shows it. It's never seen a winter or a speck of road salt and the body is amazingly clean, straight and solid. I'm the second owner; the car being purchased from the original owner a year ago, who has resided in Florida for a number of years. The car has been clearly pampered as the photos convey. It features a 5-speed manual transmission teamed with the potent 5.0 V8. The car looks, runs and and drives like new! The car has never been wrecked (see vehicle history report) and the body is tight and quiet. The sheet metal and paint appears to be all original, with the exception of the front plastic air dam, which I believe was repainted or replaced prior to my ownership. It's obvious the two front fenders are original, however, as they still retain their original VIN tags. The straight pipes run directly off the manifold, resulting in an aggressive roar that backs up the 5.0's power. The engine purrs like a pussycat, the result of being meticulously maintained, and has approx. 113,500 original miles. The cloth-and-vinyl interior is equally immaculate as you can see. The top mechanism is in perfect working order, however please note that the top fabric is original to the car and definitely needs replacing, as it shows considerable wear from age and use. Top fabric for this car is readily available on the internet. The only other issues to mention is the air conditioning does not work. Also, the rear power windows are slow in raising, which is very common with these cars. The car is otherwise turn-key and ready to enjoy for the summer! Please e-mail any questions and I'll do my best to answer them quickly and accurately. I am also happy to provide additional photos upon request. I have set a realistic price on the car, based on mileage and condition, and with the cost of a new one, that's a bargain in my book. This is one of the most affordable classic cars you will find anywhere! Thanks for looking!
