Up for auction is a super rare 1950 Desoto Suburban Custom 8 passenger 4 dr. sedan. Has been sitting in a garage since 1960 when the engine went bad and was taken apart and never put back together. will need to be towed to wherever it is going. Body is solid in most of the areas there is a rust hole on the drivers side rear door and some rust holes in the rear pans under the taillights the rest of the car looks fine, some small holes in the main floor the trunk floor is fine no holes and the wood is still very nice, all the chrome is faded and does have pitting and all the stainless is dull and will need to be polished, some dents here and there and a couple bigger dents on the driver side front fender but not terrible, is missing one front bumper guard and the rear view mirror is broke. Interior is complete and looks decent there is a rip in the front seat on the driver side the other seats are fine and all the door panels and trim look very nice, dash is complete and looks good, steering wheel is cracked very bad and is missing the center horn button. Engine is taken apart and is missing the head, pistons, and crank and I do not have them, the transmission is all there and is the optional fluid drive with the shift into overdrive, will need new brakes and exhaust from sitting it rolls fine not all rusted up. All the glass is in very nice shape no cracks or chips and they all roll up and down great. This is a local pickup auction I can deliver it within a 250 mile radius of Waterford WI 53185 for a fee depending on your location or I can assist on loading it on a hauler but you will have to arrange the pickup.
