This NO RESERVE auction is for a 1956 Porsche Diesel tractor. This tractor is a running example, and can be an easy fix for basic use, or a perfect choice for complete restoration. This is the Allgaier 2-Cylinder model, much more powerful than the common 1-Cylinder Junior models. This tractor DOES RUN. All of the mechanical components are in operational condition. The newly rebuilt fuel pump is not yet operational, and running the tractor currently requires manually feeding fuel to the carb. As you can see, the tractor is very complete. The sheetmetal is all intact with no major damage or rust. There is some surface rust on various areas, as is shown in the photos. The rear wheel flares are in good condition, but are not bolted on (hence the collapsed appearance). One of the front headlights has broken glass, and both taillights are missing. The front wheels will need to be replaced, and are not original. The left rear wheel has rust damage and will require replacement or major repair. The brochure shown in the photos represents either this tractor or one which is very similar. The two sided brochure is included with this sale. For actual model details, please refer to the serial tag which is shown in a close-up photo. This tractor is the ultimate addition to any Porsche or tractor collection, and it is offered in rare running condition. As a Porsche car enthusiast, my knowledge about this and other Porsche tractors is limited. Please feel free, however, to ask any and all questions.
