1967 Ford Mustang convertible, "A code", 289, 4BBL, automatic. 8 inch rear end with 3.00 gears. Power steering, air conditioning, power disc brakes, power top. This Mustang has been completely restored to concours specifications. Car currently has 1125 miles on it. This car was completely disassembled and media blasted. Rear quarter panels were replaced with full reproduction quarter panels. New inner rocker panels and full floorpans were installed. Hood, fenders, headlight buckets, doors, trunk lid and quarter panel extensions are all original Ford parts. All of the exterior trim moldings were excellent used or new old stock Ford items except for the rear bumper which is a reproduction by Nordan. Interior is new by TMI Products, carpet is original 80/20 blend from Auto Custom Carpets. Deluxe interior option with brushed aluminum dash, door and console trim. Speedometer head is NOS Ford with mileage starting at zero. Convertible top is by EZ-On, 38 ounce, correct material and split rear glass. Top is power and works excellent. Engine is a correct 289 with all of the correct date codes for this model. The block was bored 10 over which means it was untouched. 4BBL Autolite carburetor with correct date. Correct date codes on all engine hoses and belts. New Autolite battery with factory Ford battery tray, Ford clamp and bolts. Transmission is a C-4 automatic completely rebuilt with new torque converter and flywheel. Rear end was completely gone through with new 3.00 gears installed. Drive shaft was balanced and detailed. Correct 14x6 styled steel wheels with trim rings with new BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. Exterior is painted Acapulco Blue, PPG basecoat/clearcoat. Interior is correct 1967 blue. This car was originally Diamond Blue, but I preferred the Acapulco Blue that was offered by Ford in 1967 as the exterior color. Power disc brakes, original 2 piston style. All the suspension was replaced and correctly detailed. Factory in-dash air conditioning with correct compressor. Works excellent. All new components, evaporator, condenser, dryer and hoses. Factory AM radio, works well. Trunk is detailed with original style burtex trunk mat in the plaid pattern. Spare is an original Bias Ply tire from the era. Jack and lug wrench are correct. All parts on this car were replaced with new or refurbished original items. My husband and I restored this Mustang over a period of years, gathering up NOS Ford or excellent original Ford items for this restoration. The car has been finished for three years. We have driven it to the Eureka Springs, Arkansas Mustang show two times, a distance of 180 miles round trip. It has also been driven to local cruise nights and shows. This is one of the best riding Mustang convertibles that you will find. It runs excellent, handles smoothly, has plenty of power and stops on a dime.
