Exceptional 2006 Mercedes SLK 350 updated to 2009/2010 SLK 55 AMG This car turns heads. The body has been updated to the 2009/2010 SLK 55 AMG down to every minor detail using original Mercedes parts. Even the exhaust was replaced with the AMG exhaust. Over $10,000 was spent on updating this car. The only minor detail left was the turn signal light on the mirror, which looks slightly different between 2006 and 2010. The benefits are significant. Get the look of the 2009/2010 model without the high price. Get the look of the SLK 55 AMG without the high price. Insurance is cheaper and the gas mileage better than a 2010 AMG. Plates are much cheaper too (at least in Kansas). This car is a garage baby and has been pampered. I drive it only on weekends in good weather. It has no issues and is in great shape. Everything works, paint shines, no door dings, no stone chips, very clean. Just to certain there are no misunderstandings, if you get out the magnifying glass, you'll tell it didn't just roll out the factory with 0 miles. The condition of this car can best be described as a pampered, extremely well-maintained car with 25K miles. I just installed four brand-new Yokohama tires. They currently have about 100 miles on them. It has all the standard luxuries of the SLK 350 that are too numerous to list. The 7 speed automatic transmission gets better manual than the manual in city driving. It also has the Premium Package with dual-zone automatic climate control, rain sensing wipers, homelink, and interior ambient lighting package. It even has the Entertainment Package with DVD based navigation system and Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 Surround Sound. It has a 6 disk CD player in the glove box (which beats having it in the trunk). This sound system has a place to plug in an iPod in the glove box. It has the Air Scarf. For those who have not heard of the Air Scarf, the seats have a vent near the head rest that blows warm air around your shoulders for driving with the top down on chillier days. It detects the speed of the car and the outside temperature and adjusts the heat accordingly. This was an expensive option that not a lot of SLK's have. The antennae has been updated to a shorter Mercedes CLK antennae. It looks better than the taller one than comes with SLK's. If you're not familiar with the SLK, the powered hard top is MUCH nicer than any cloth top on other cars. Just push a button and watch it fold up into the trunk. No wind noise and much better at keeping out the heat and cold. The Kelly Blue Book Private Party Price for this car is $28,425 (stock 2006 SLK 350) as of June 25. This does not even consider the $10,000 invested for the upgrades/updating (my loss is your gain). I just took this to the local Mercedes dealer and the offered me $25,000 cash for it. They would certify it and sell it somewhere in the low $30K range. Mileage is 25,452 as June 25. It will go up a little since I still plan on driving on the weekends till it's sold. Of course the CarFax is perfectly clean. The car has never been damaged in any way. It has had no problems that have needed repairing. It has not been to the mechanic for anything other than the usual maintenance. I've been selling on eBay for years and have sold 3 cars here. I have perfect feedback and plan on keeping it perfect.
