Used 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Spyder coupe. Second owner. Very original and correct condition. Car runs and drives very well. Has the correct 164 cubic inch "YR" factory optional turbocharged six cylinder air-cooled boxer engine. Engine has rebored cylinders, new pistons, rings and completely rebuilt cylinder heads including new stainless steel one-piece forged intake and exhaust valves, new deep intake and exhaust seats, new bronze valve guides, new HD valve springs and all the associated gaskets and seals replaced in 2009. Current engine compression is 140-150 psi. per cylinder. In addition, the clutch was replaced in 2009 and the Carter YH sidedraft carburetor was rebuilt last year. All tune-up items including spark plugs, ignition wires, cap & rotor, air filter, oil filter and fan belt have been serviced regularly for the past 3 years. Turbocharger provides good boost and exhaust system is in good condition. The four speed transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch works fine. Brakes are good and in tune and the tires are two year old Firestone 185/80-13" whitewalls with good tread. has the original 1964 Spyder wheelcovers as shown. Vehicle was repainted (first repaint) in 2010. Original black 1964 interior in very nice original condition. Has new black carpet and the factory bucket seats have been re-padded. Has factory optional "Soft-Ray" tinted glass including windshield. Exterior trim is in good condition also. Brightwork is intact and not badly dented, pitted, corroded, modified or missing. This car has no rust. Floors, hinge areas, battery box, trunk bottom, rocker panels. roof and the rest of the body are very solid with no rust through or scale as shown. Electrical system is in good working order including starter, generator, headlights, turn signals, panel lights, radio, courtesy light and heater. Speedometer, head temp, manifold pressure and fuel gauge work fine. Only the tachometer is not functioning at this time. Has original California black plates and is currently registered.
