1999 Chevy dually, 4WD, 4 door, 454. Truck is in good mechanical condition, and fairly good cosmetic condition. I have replaced in the past year, most in the past month the following: Ignition control module, Distributor, Plugs and wires, Cap and rotor, Upper and Lower ball joints, Right outer tie rod end, Brake pads, Right caliper, Water pump, Intake gasket, Injector, Front rotors, Rear shoes, Hydroboost assembly, HVAC control module, Both front inner door handles. The exhaust is original and in good condtion, however it does not have tail pipes behind the muffler because I like the engine sounds with the short exhaust. Everything is there for tail pipes if you wanted to add them. The frame has normal surface rust from Illinois winters and road salt but is solid. This truck has been driven all over the country for vacations and has never let us down. Selling because we bought a newer dually. If youre looking for gas mileage, this truck isnt for you. 10-12 miles per gallon. The bed has never had any kind of hitch. It does not have trailer brakes Truck has power sliding rear window, tilt, cruise, CD player, cassette player, power driver seat, 4WD (works great) Here are the known problems with this truck: The truck starts fine every morning, but after the truck has been shut off and sits for a couple hours, it turns over for about 3 seconds instead if firing immediately. When the engine is cold again, it fires immediately. It has been doing this for approximately 5 years and does not affect the performance of the truck. The anti lock brakes are disabled and have been for 3 years...........dont feel like spending $900.00 for the new module and they work fine. Both fenders have damage as shown. My wife rolled a dog up in the fender on the left side, and she hit a barrel with the right one. 3 of the 4 marker lights on the fenders do not work. The tailgate handle is wore out and has to be worked manually under the handle, (my other '99 chevy has the same problem). The power windows can only be worked from the drivers door. The gas gage has been inaccurate for several years. We just fill it up every 300 miles and have never had a problem. The bottoms of the doors are starting to show some minor rust. The middle roof marker cover is missing, but all lights work. If I think anything else, I'll add it later. This truck runs very good. I have owned it since 2002. A couple months ago, we pulled a Camaro on an implement trailer from here to North Carolina, thru the mountains with no problems. This truck is a daily driver for my wife and she puts between 50 and 75 miles a day on it. On weekends, we take it to auctions anywhere within 150 miles of the house, without worry. We will continue driving it til it is sold, so the mileage will vary. The starting price for this truck is below Kelly Blue Book private party fair condition market for private resale value.
