UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1966 CHEVROLET C-10 STEP SIDE PICK UP TRUCK. IT IS A HALF-TON WITH A SHORT BED. IT RUNS NICE WITH A STRONG 1970'S BUICK 455 BIG BLOCK ENGINE. I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT MILEAGE ON THE TRUCK OR ENGINE. THE ODOMETER SHOWS 32,103 MILES. THIS HAS BEEN A PROJECT FOR SEVERAL OWNERS. THERE HAS BEEN MANY HOURS OF WORK PUT INTO THIS TRUCK ALREADY. TO MY KNOWLEDGE THERE ARE TWO SPOTS OF RUST. ONE IS A HOLE ON THE BOTTOM LEFT CAB CORNER AND UNDER THE HOOD IS THE SECOND ONE ON A POST OR BEAM. THE TRUCK IS SOLID AND THE DOORS SHUT NICE. THE TAILGATE NEEDS A CHAIN. IT HAS A GMC FRONT GRILL. THERE ARE A LOT OF GOODIES ON THIS TRUCK. THEY INCLUDE: POWER STEERING WITH A TILT STEERING WHEEL A 3-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GOOD TIRES NEW WATER PUMP NEW AIR FILTER EDELBROCK 4-BARREL CARBURETOR STEEL BED A ROLLED REAR FIBERGLASS LICENSE PLATE HOLDER ELECTRIC INLINE FUEL PUMP (HOOKED TO A TOGGLE SWITCH UNDER THE DASH) THERE ARE ALSO A LOT OF CHEVY DUTY NEW PARTS THAT GO WITH THIS RESTORATION. MANY ARE STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGING. THEY INCLUDE: A NEW FRONT LEFT FENDER A COMPLETE WIREING HARNESS DOOR HANDLES WINDOW CRANKS WINDOW RUBBER FOOT PEDAL FUEL TANK GAS CAP WITH RUBBER OUTER SEAL ON/OFF LIGHT SWITCH HIGH/LOW BEAM SWITCH THE TRANSMISSION WILL LEAK OUT TWO QUARTS OF FLUID WHEN IT HAS SIT FOR WEEKS. IT DOESN'T LEAK IF DRIVEN REGULARLY. IT COULD BE THE SEAL ON THE SPEEDOMETER CABLE. IT SWELLS UP WHEN IN USE AND THEN SHRINKS AFTER A FEW WEEKS AND LEAKS DOWN TWO QUARTS. THE FUEL TANK IS NOT HOOKED UP. I DROVE IT HOME BY STICKING THE FUEL LINE INTO A PLASTIC GAS CAN ON THE CAB FLOOR. I HAVE LISTED EVERYTHING TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY. IF ANYTHING WAS MISSED IT WAS BY ACCIDENT. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT FATHER/SON PROJECT OR EVEN FATHER/ DAUGHTER PROJECT. THIS TRUCK HAS A LOT OF POTENTIAL WITH THE BIGGEST PART OF THE WORK ALREADY DONE.
