Vehicle Detail
1970 Porsche 911T Sold new in California, Oregon car since mid 70's. Oregon has never salted it's roads and nice cars were parked in the garages most houses have. We don't get salty sea air because the Coast Mountain Range separates most of the population from the ocean. We also have a milder climate so our car interiors aren't baked like our sea-side neighbors to the south. ZERO Rust ( one dime sized acid hole in the left battery box). No accidents never modified Original Car. I got it from the second owner who purchased it in 1976. He was an engineer for a local tech firm and maintained the car properly. There are 35 years of receipts from Competition Motors(Nick Federhoff, Porsche Factory mechanic who emigrated to USA in late 60's and opened this famous shop) including a total engine rebuild 30,000 miles ago. They also installed a new factory muffler and Bilstiens all around at that time. The PO parked it in his garage in 1988, where it collected dust for the past 20 years. I changed all of the fluids, flushed the fuel system and replaced all of the rubber hoses. I also replaced all of the brake hoses and rebuilt all 4 calipers. The car runs great and drives great. The original engine (Correct number as listed in the original warrany booklet) has 150 PSI on all 6 cylinders. It has the 5 speed transaxle the is in excellent condition with good syncros(even 1st!). All of the gauges work, including the clock. The Blaupunkt AM/FM/SW also works fine, as do the wipers, rear window defogger, lights and blower fan. Excellent interior with no tears or wear on the seats(thanks to one-piece sheepskins that were installed in the 70's), uncut door panels, Nice door pockets and intact headliner. Dash has two 1/2" cracks by the speaker cover. Original glass, including Sigla Windshield Nice Original Jack and Tool Kit. I put tires on it and as you can see has a full set of nice 6X15 Fuchs Alloys. New Optima Battery just installed this week. A Very Nice, Very Original Car. It does have a low quality paint job that was done in the 70's. It is close to the correct Albert Blue that this car came with, but not Porsche quality. Looks ok from 20 feet, but needs to be stripped off and re-sprayed. Luckily they didn't reshoot the jambs or under hood were the Original Albert Blue paint is in excellent condition (notice all six of the original foil stickers in the engine compartment that are in excellent shape too). If you want to inspect the car, please do so BEFORE bidding. Car is 40 years old, I've described it as accurately as I can and it is sold in "as is" condition with no warranties, express or implied. $500 deposit upon winning auction, remainder to be paid with-in 10 days via Cash, Cashiers Check or Wire Transfer. No problem shipping overseas at buyers expense.
