Vehicle Detail
The VIN above is incorrect, this is a true Euro Grey Market car, and the VIN is: WPOZZZ91ZFS140131. This car is properly documented and has a clear title with the correct VIN. eBay will not accept the Euro VIN above. I am selling my 1985 911 Euro Targa. This is an all original Gray Market Euro car. It has never had paint work of any kind, and the motor and tranny are all original. I have all of the service documents for this 3 owner car since new as well. This car has been indoor kept and babied since day one, no exceptions. It runs and drives very smoothly, just as it should. This car runs, drives and looks like a 911 with half of its mileage. In spite of its mileage though, this 911 pulls hard, has no synchro grinds in the tranny whatsoever, and has typical oil consumption of about a quart/1,000 miles. The engine does leak a tiny amount of oil, and gives off a puff of smoke when started COLD, which quickly goes away as the car warms up. The paint and interior are all original, and are in good condition for the age and mileage. Because of being kept indoors, the paint still has a great shine, but it does show its share of rock chips, etc. especially on the front end/hood area. The targa bar has some paint cracking. The Targa top itself is in above average condition, and seals fairly well (not air tight, but better than most targas of any age/mileage). The seats do not have any rips, tears or seam separation, but the driver's seat is worn on the outside bolster. There is some fading on the carpets, but it is not nearly as bad as it appears with the flash in the photos. The dash is in very good condition. The car has an updated Blaupunkt CD stereo that is in great shape. The AC does not blow cold, but all of the equipment is there. The heat is fickle at best, I haven't done anything to diagnose either one. You can get heat out of the vents at speed, and the blower motor does work. The emergency brake is also not effective. Everything else in the car works, including both power windows, gauges, lights etc. The car is sitting on a set of brand new snow tires and correct offset phone dial wheels. If the buyer is not interested in winter wheels and would like to work out something else, I'm happy to take that into account. I have other Porsche wheels and tires that I can make a deal on with the buyer instead. The brakes are in good condition, and the alignment/suspension are straight and feel very solid. This is an awesome car for the money. Fly into Pittsburgh, and drive it home. It needs nothing, and is currently driven on a regular basis. This vehicle has a clear title in my name, and it is ready to sign over to the new owner. A $500 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. The balance of payment is due within 10 days of sale via certified check, wire transfer or cash in person. Pick-up or shipping of the vehicle is the full responsibility of the buyer, but I am happy to meet your shipper to load the vehicle at a mutually agreed upon time. Full payment must be cleared before vehicle pick-up. Please ask any/all questions before bidding on this car. If you would like to speak via phone or see the car in person (near Pittsburh, PA 15108), please message me your phone number, or send a request and I will provide mine. This vehicle is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thanks for your interest! On Jan-20-11 at 12:19:58 PST, seller added the following information: A couple of minor things that have come up in questions: - The heat DOES work. It has been plenty sufficient to keep me warm this winter. - There is one very small (1/3 inch) crack in the dash coming from the passenger defrost vent.- My phone number is 412-818-8994, you may reach me if you have questions about the car.
