Please read the entire listing before calling or emailing :) Offering a 1982 Collector Edition Corvette with no reserve!. It has 97k and the original motor/ equiptment. I've owned it for 5 years and done many repairs to it, but I'm out of work and need money (no trades please). I actually used to work at a Corvette-only restoration shop and am very familiar with these cars - so if I were buying one, here's what I'd want to know: Overall, the car is not molested and there are no random holes or missing parts. Currently, the car needs brakes all the way around (probably including calipers and maybe even rotors), a motor mount (included), a fuel pump (as the car will not start and this is the problem, and all the fluids need to be changed as the car has been sitting. I just put a new battery in ($100) and figured out it was fuel delivery that won't let it start. The carpet is faded and a bit dirty. The seats and steering wheel are new (about $500 spent on NOS seat covers and $150 to recover the original wheel). The rest of the interior is pretty nice with no major splits, cracks, etc - just age and some wear. The frame and birdcage are perfectly fine with no bad spots - just surface rust. The body does not have any repairs or damage. The paint was just wetsanded but it is faded and splotched in some places (the rear deck in particular). The front clip has an assortment of chips and splinters and there are a number of small chips all around. I have a new hood decal (included) ((cost $400)). Most of the options and features worked as of 6 months ago when I had it running so here is what I know: The radio does not work. The rear hatch does open with some effort as it is slightly crooked. The hatch window struts need to be replaced. The power seat does work as do the mirrors, but I just blew the fuse :( The power windows work but are a bit slow. The glass is original with no chips or cracks. The weatherseals are pretty good, I just replaced the rear window seal ($200) and I siliconed the rest. The power door locks are a bit sticky and need some attention. The rear complartment doors have some cracks in the plastic. The AC did work when I got it and still blows. The suspension is in reasonably good shape. The wheels are not bad with a few nicks and the tires have tread and hold air. The headlights/ vacuum were okay earlier this year, but since it won't start I don't know if they still do. If I recall, most of the guages were working - but no way to really test currently. Suprisingly, the car does not seem to have any fluid leaks! The engine ran fine and the transmission shifted pretty well as of 6 months ago. Note, you will need to replace plugs and wires but the engine is by no means about to go or anything like that. Other than all that I am honestly not aware of any major issues that need work - but it is an older unrestored car and will of course constantly have things come up. Included is the original ttop bags, a motor mount, the hood decal, new sill plates, and the original (dirty) floor mats. Kitty cat not included. I do not have any paperwork related to this car. So anyway - there is all is. In addition to the purchase price of $8700, I have about another $1500 into it - not including time of course. This would be considered an excellent driver and is by no means a "project car". As you know, people ask like 15k for these things even when they are half wrecked - so thanks for placing a reasonable bid. It is in Gaithersburg for viewing. Mike 240-876-0935
