Vehicle Detail
1996 Chrysler Town & Country LXi Very low miles, Cold A/C, Leather NO RESERVE!! You are looking at an exceptionally clean 1996 Chrysler Town & Country MiniVan with only 81,000 miles. This MiniVan is a two family car, and it has always been serviced and garaged its entire life. As the pictures show, the condition is excellent, with NO WEAR on the driver's premium leather seat, or the rest of the interior. It is a fully loaded example, with the following LXi options: Optional 3.8 liter V6 Premium Leather interior with 2nd row bucket seats and armrests Fold down 3rd row convertible bed seating Infinity Premium Sound System, with CD, Cassette, and Subwoofers Dual Zone Climate Control front A/C- BLOWS ICE COLD Rear A/C- BLOWS ICE COLD 8 Way Power driver and passenger seats 2 Position Memory Seats and Power Mirrors Power rear vent windows Cast Aluminum Premium Wheels Dual rear sliding doors This vehicle has been lovingly used, and only covered 81,000 miles! That is an average of 5700 miles per year, which is less than half of the national average. The Average Fuel Economy still reads 23.5 mpg, despite in town driving! It has been regularly serviced with genuine Chrysler parts at the local dealer its entire life. All service records will be included, and recent work includes a complete transmission rebuild, new A/C manifold and dryer, new brakes, and other minor service repairs. The van runs and drives like new, and the brakes, steering, transmission all perform nicely. All of the power options such as lights, locks, key fob, stereo, A/C, mirrors, and windows all work perfectly. There are no warning lights on the dash, as it has always been proprtly maintained by the local dealer. This will make an ideal first family vehicle, or a great college car, due to the enormous interior, and well designed seating features including several industry firsts, such as a driver's-side sliding door and a seating management system marketed as Easy Out Roller Seats. In 1996, Chrysler introduced a system of seats to simplify installation, removal, and re-positioning— marketed as Easy-Out Roller Seats. When installed, the seats are latched to floor-mounted strikers. When unlatched, eight rollers lift each seat, allowing it to be rolled fore and aft. Tracks have locator depressions for rollers, thus enabling simple installation. Ergonomic levers at the seatbacks release the floor latches single handedly without tools and raise the seats onto the rollers in a single motion. Additionally, seatbacks were designed to fold forward. Seat roller tracks are permanently attached to the floor and seat stanchions are aligned, fascillitating the longitiudinal rolling of the seats. Bench seat stanchions were moved inboard to reduce bending stress in the seat frames, allowing them to be lighter. With Generation III, the Town and Country premium LXi included amenities such as pre-programed driver's seat and mirror, standard leather interior, 8-way power adjustable front seats, Infinity sound system with cassette/CD player, and dual driver/passenger climate control to name a few. Base models of the Town and Country were offered in most states with the 3.0 L Mitsubishi V6 engine, except in California and several northeastern states, where the Mitsubishi V6 didn't meet emissions standards. In those locales, the 3.3 L engine was offered instead. Certain Town and Country models came with the optional 3.8 L V6 and were offered only in long wheelbase (LWB) versions. Car and Driver included the Town and Country on their Ten Best list for 1996 and 1997. This MiniVan is sadly being sold due to a passing in the family. As much as we would love to keep it, it is being sold to help my mother with her astronomical outstanding medical bills. It has been a well loved, and we will be sad to say goodbye to this old freind. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence. Over the last two years, we have sold off my father's collection of classic and muscle cars, and started them at $1 to let the market decide the selling price. Terms: $500 Paypal deposit due in 48 hours. Full payment due in 7 days. Vehicle is sold "as is, where is", so the buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup, or air travel to Florida to pick it up. I will be traveling to China on August 9th, and returning to Florida on the 24th, but the vehicle will be available locally for pickup. I will leave the open title with my wife.
