1994 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo Very Rare All Wheel Drive - 4 Wheel Steering - ABS - Active Tunable Exhaust - Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS) - 320 Horsepower Ice Cold Air - 6 Speed Transmissions NO RESERVE!!! You are looking at an extremely rare 1994 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo. There were only 924 Twin Turbo Stealth’s made in 1994, and only 119 of them were made in black. This car is a very desirable Black on Black Leather car, and it looks as good in real life as the pictures! It is a certain future collectible due to its performance pedigree and it limited numbers of production. As an example, Chevrolet made over 4000 L78 Chevelles in 1968. These cars are considered extremely rare today and are highly valued due to their "limited" production. At just under 1000 cars built, the Twin Turbo Stealth will definitely be a rare collectible in the future. 1994 was also the last year that Dodge (Mitsubishi) featured all of the technical marvels, with the addition of an additional 20 horse power. In 1995, Stealth’s dropped the tunable exhaust, and in 1996, they dropped the Electronically Controlled Suspension. They did, however, offer a passenger side airbag starting in 1994, so this car marks a high spot for features and options. For those who are not aware of these cars, they were a technical marvel for the day. The 3000GT and Dodge Stealth were created in 1990, and were designed as Mitsubishi’s and Dodge's Flagship cars. Powered by a 2972cc Engine(181 CU.), the 3000GT and Stealth RT were designed to showcase Mitsubishi’s Engineering Powers to the World. Starting with its Aerodynamic Design, and a Monstrous 6 foot wide stance, the 3000GT and Stealth incorporated Electronically controlled Exhaust, Anti Lock brakes, Electronically controlled Suspension, and Computer controlled Active Aero Spoiler and front air dam. The top of the line Stealth incorporated Full time all wheel drive and all wheel steering. To Power this Monster, Mitsubishi incorporated a Twin Turbo charging system to an already Powerful 2972cc Engine, the 6G72. The full time All Wheel Drive system is not a front drive transmission with a rear drive take off. It is a truly separate transaxle that is not shared by any other car. The VR4 acronym from the 3000GT stands for Viscous Coupled Real Time 4 Wheel Drive. For the 1994 Model year, Dodge redesigned the exterior of all models of the Stealth. In place of Retractable headlights, were more powerful Projector lights. In addition to the styling enhancements, the Twin Turbo also benefited from higher boost which Increased Torque by 7 foot-lbs, and increased Horsepower by 20lbs. The 5 speed gearbox was replaced with a 6 speed setup to keep the vehicle in its power band more often. Passenger side air bags were also added to increase the vehicles safety. Stealth Twin Turbos and VR-4s gained larger front 4 piston calipers and rotors, and larger 2-piston rear calipers. For those who have not driven these cars, here is an excerpt from one of the publications back in 1995: With the engine idling, there is a little more than a soft, baritone rumble coming from the four chromed exhaust pipes. Ease the shifter into first gear, and the six-speed transmission responds with reassuring precision. Press down on the accelerator and experience total exhilaration. Both intercooled turbochargers emit a shrill hiss, and 320 horsepower pours into the full-time all wheel drive system. Enormous 17 inch wheels and 245/40 Z-rated tires dig into the pavement, the suspension tenses and the Stealth Twin Turbo launches off the line. Sweep into the first turn, and the same-phase four-wheel steering generates breathtaking stability. The steering wheel is alive with information about the road. Your confidence soars. Accelerate out of the turn, and all wheel drive with two limited-slip differentials creates unyielding traction - you power out of the corner with riveting control. On the open highway, the Active Aero (tm) system automatically adjusts the front air dam and rear spoiler, leveraging the wind for even more stability - without increasing aerodynamic drag. Electronically controlled shock absorbers immediately adapt to changing conditions. At cruising speed, pull the shifter back into sixth gear. The engine settles down into an easy rhythm. The suspension relaxes, and the RT Twin Turbo slices through the atmosphere. Effortlessly. This car must be driven to be believed!!" This car was originally purchased locally, and has been in the family since 1998. It has been meticulously maintained, and the oil has been changed with Mobil 1 since day one. It has been maintained in its original stock configuration, and it has not been hot rodded or modified in any way. It is exactly the way it left the factory, and is unmolested. It has never been smoked in, and it still includes the packages and envelopes with the factory wheel locks, and owners manuals. The car has only covered 127,000 miles, and that averages to less than 7,900 miles per year. Most of the miles are highway miles, as the condition of the engine shows. It still holds strong oil pressure, and does not run hot at all. The car is in excellent condition for its age, and it still feels crisp and responsive. It starts and purrs perfectly, and it steers and brakes like new. The shocks feel tight when set to the "sport" mode, and all of the bushings feel tight. The would not guess the car has 127,000 miles on it from the way it drives. The transmission does wear 2nd a tiny bit if you shift too quickly. All of the other gears are smooth and have no issues. The door panels are not "bubbled" like most of these cars from sitting in the sun. It has been garaged for its entire life, and the interior shows this. The paint is perfect, including the nose and tail. They are not cracked from contact or bottoming out. There are no bug prints on the nose or mirrors. It was always perfectly maintained and cleaned. The seats, however, have begun to wear in between the perforations, as they all do, so the seats have been covered to reduce the wear. If you wish to show the car, you might want to have them recovered, but for a driver, they are fine. Currently, the car has been in storage for over two years since my father began battling his cancer. Sadly, he passed this April, and we are now selling this car to help my mother meet her increasing bills. I replaced the battery with a brand new one, and it starts perfectly as always. The tires however, have flat spots from sitting, but they should round out with regular driving. The car does have a few minor issues. The driver's window is slow up and down, but my father purchased a new mechanism. The power antenna also grinds when it goes up and down, so my father got a new one as well. Last, a new glove box lock was ordered and a new AC control mechanism were ordered because the a/c lights were dim, however, it still blows ICE COLD!!! All of these extra parts come with the car; however, they are not necessary since it still runs fine. My father was a fanatic about keeping his cars perfect! The headlights have some condensation in them after all of the car washes (see pictures) and the rim has some rash (see pictures). Last, the dash has begun to dry at the very top, but it still looks very nice (see pictures). This is a rare opportunity to own a very clean and unmolested Black on Black Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo.
