Vehicle Detail
Restored 1960 Ford F100 Immaculate, many pics Description : Restored 1960 Ford F100 Excellent all stock condition 1960 Ford F100 pickup, nicely restored to all stock condition. This was an Alabama truck. Body is very straight and rust free. I was told it was owned by an older guy who planned to spend time driving around with his wife in it. She passed away so he sold it. He reportedly spent $25,000 on the restoration. I'm not sure if this is true but the body is incredibly straight and the paint is close to perfect. The paint job itself was probably close to my asking price. Underside is very clean, beautiful interior. Great trim and chrome. Drivetrain: 223 cubic inch I6, 139 HP, 3 speed manual. Reportedly, the engine was rebuilt, at least all the ignition parts look new. Interior is very nice, I just added seatbelts for 3. All new glass. Good tires and brakes, start easily. Nice Ford vintage hubcaps, not exactly correct but repos are only $100. Nice bedliner coated bed and steps (bedliner is wet in the pictures). Many new parts on this truck, it would cost a ton of dough to restore something toi this level. I just drove the truck, about 140 miles and took it on a 320 mile trip about a month ago. Here are the issues with it: 1) Speedo is acting goofy but I just lubed the cable so it might be fixed, 2) Heater core leaks so it has been bypassed, 3) needs a new muffler and tailpipe. All I want to do is hot rod the thing, Crown Vic suspension will bolt right in giving this a massive drop in the front along with disc brakes and power rack and pinion. Add your choice of engine and trans and you could have a really nice rod without having to pay a painter or bodyman. Think of all the money you'll save by starting with a restored classic for only $8,500!! I'm just too busy to have fun with the truck so I am offering it for sale. It is a real head turner and everyone loves it. Clear IL title. $500 deposit due at close of auction, balance due within 7 days of auction end. I will assist with your shipper of meet you at Chicago's O'Hare airport if you want to drive it home. Good luck bidding! Shipping : Buyer responsible, I will assit with loading or airport pickup.
